Friday July 8th 2011
It rained a little during the night, but not as much as when we were in Yosemite! Today was a sad day it was the end of the two week tour for 5 of us, the other 8 were continuing on for a further two weeks, heading back south and in land towards Wyoming and then Arizona. I would have loved to have stayed but work called
So to set the mood the weather joined in!
The weather then starts to get a bit better
After a while we saw the Puget Sound, that we would be crossing by ferry
As we enter Seattle we pass the Space Needle
We are dropped off at Pike Market to wander for a few hours and grab lunch, whilst Michael heads to the office to do the paperwork for this part of the tour.
High on the list of must sees is the original Starbuck, which is now a bit of a tourist attraction so the coffee is take away only
Arda and I decide we would like Sushi for lunch so find a nice little restaurant just a few minutes walk away. After this we head back to the market
We get to see the famous throwing of the fish
We then get sidetracked into a candy store and buy a strawberry covered in chocolate for dessert
After this it is off to the hotel, passing by the Boeing hangers as we go
After settling in at the hotel we are off for our farewell meal at Applebees
Tomorrow a few tears will be shed
