Go-to Shoes

I love wearing my pair of sneakers or Keens. My other half loves wearing his Keens.

I switch each day from my New Balance cross-trainers to my New Balance runners. The runners have all sorts of cushion, but the CTs give the foot a lot of support, so it's nice going back and forth. That is, unless it's raining. And then the runners aren't worth beans.

I wear my Nike flip flops in the park. So comfy! The one time I was in the park and it was raining I wore my New Balance walking shoes.

I always alternate. I have Clarks waterproof walking shoes.

My flip flops are Chaco.

Leather teva sandals

I usually wear sandals in the parks the first half of the day- teva, birkenstock, etc. At night I often switch into running shoes. It's good to bring a few different pairs and wear different ones each day or switch once during the day.

I switch between my Keen Newport sandles and my Saucony walking shoes. I may even bring a 3rd pair on our next trip. Changing it up is the only way i'm still walking by day 3.....

Nike, Asics running shoes. I switch between those and my Skechers Go-Walk 3s. Depending on how many suitcases we take, I bring anywhere from 3-4 pairs of athletic shoes and switch out pairs at half day or every other day.

Never flip flops. Never! I have an irrational fear (or maybe it is rational) about my nails getting injured (especially my toenails). It doesn't take much for a stroller or someone in the crowd backing up to run into me and step on my feet, so I could never have opened toed shoes while in the park. Plus they don't have enough support and my legs hurt after a couple of hours wearing flip flops or flat sandals.

Skechers intermixed with the tennies I bought at WDW when I discovered that the shoes I brought with me weren't as good as I thought they were.

I wear a pair of low mileage running shoes. They're very light and breath exceptionally well.

Asics running shoes and Keen sandals...Whisper or Venice H2.

Of course last trip I broke my toe less than a week before our trip. The only shoes I could wear were my Crocs that I use for gardening. They were surprisingly comfortable...although not very attractive!

I can understand your fear of open toes but my flip flops aren't flat. They have support. You should try a pair of chacos for whenever you usually wear cheap flip flops.

And oh yeah. I used to wear my toms. Not sure I still have them.

I should get another pair of cute crocs for my next trip. I used them one year in the mix successfully. And they pack small.

I used to wear Crocs because they were the only things I could find that I could walk in all day and my feet wouldn't hurt. Now I wear Skechers Go Walks (they have to be Go Walks) and they're awesome. Like walking on marshmallows!!

I was always shocked at people who wore flip flops, but we were always feb/march people. We went in July, wore my croc flip flops and absolutely loved them. I switched to tennis shoes the first evening and regretted it, so ended up in my flip flops for four days....perfect!
