What are your go-to shoes when at the parks?
I can understand your fear of open toes but my flip flops aren't flat. They have support. You should try a pair of chacos for whenever you usually wear cheap flip flops.Nike, Asics running shoes. I switch between those and my Skechers Go-Walk 3s. Depending on how many suitcases we take, I bring anywhere from 3-4 pairs of athletic shoes and switch out pairs at half day or every other day.
Never flip flops. Never! I have an irrational fear (or maybe it is rational) about my nails getting injured (especially my toenails). It doesn't take much for a stroller or someone in the crowd backing up to run into me and step on my feet, so I could never have opened toed shoes while in the park. Plus they don't have enough support and my legs hurt after a couple of hours wearing flip flops or flat sandals.
I was always shocked at people who wore flip flops, but we were always feb/march people. We went in July, wore my croc flip flops and absolutely loved them. I switched to tennis shoes the first evening and regretted it, so ended up in my flip flops for four days....perfect!Nike, Asics running shoes. I switch between those and my Skechers Go-Walk 3s.
