Go to Disneyland Sunday or Monday?

Hi - I am visiting LA next week & of course a visit to Disneyland is planned. One of the group lives in Orange County & wants to go with us so the only day we can go is Sunday Oct 9th or Monday Oct 10th (Columbus Day). The fireworks show is on both days, but not sure if it would be better to go Sunday or Monday in terms of the crowds. Thanks!

The schools out here in Simi Valley are still in session on October 10th. I'm willing to bet other schools in and around the DL area are the same. So, I would say go on Monday for the least amount of crowds.

I'm from Simi too. How funny!

We went to DL yesterday for our local holiday and plan to go again next Thursday for the local holiday then too. And one last October date on the 21st for the Halloween party at DCA.

My vote is to go on Monday too. Many locals go on weekends and even more may hit Sundays as that day is not blocked on most AP passes.

While the thought of Columbus Day makes me think there will be larger than normal crowds, it will still not be as bad as Sunday. I try to avoid Sundays at all costs. Regardless of the season, it is always crowded becase most annual passes are not blocked.
