Just a little question....Don't you have barbers or razor blades in Boston? What's with the hair, head and facial, on that team? Maybe magic mirrors or something.

I watched tonight's game on YES and Michael Kay mentioned that Theo Epstein said that he felt it was a reflection of each player's individuality and that it helped them play better, however, he said that next year there would be a change in policy regarding grooming. It should be interesting to see how enforceable any policy changes would be after they've been allowed to look pretty much any way they want to for the past two seasons.

Good game tonight. Didn't have the outcome I would have liked but a good Yanks/Red Sox game nonetheless. Hope they can get tomorrow's game in but the weather forecast does not look promising. There may have to be a double header on Sunday.

BTW, DD2Disney, I love the photo of your little guy at Fenway. Where's his Sox cap or jersey???? I have a great photo of my two boys at Yankee Stadium their first time. We had scored unbelievable seats in the front row right behind first base thanks to a friend who had use of his company's box. What a thrill for the boys' very first game! For baseball fans, taking your kids to their first game is an unforgetable experience!

Figment22- I can't keep a hat on that kid for longer than 1.2 seconds (if that). He has some Red Sox clothes....LOL but we had made a day of that in Boston... I think he was on like his third outfit...atleast he had fun.

He was actually upset because we usually go to AAA Red Sox games where we can sit on the grass, and he gets to run around with the other kids. LOL he didn't like sitting in his seat at all.

Tomorrow was supposed to be our first trip to Yankee stadium...but DH is sick and it looks like its going to rain anyways....My poor DH He was really looking forward to it.

I guess it's hard for a little one to sit in his seat for nine innings! I enjoy going to minor league games too. It's a much more relaxed atmosphere for all ages and now that I live down south it's my only pro baseball option (unless we're in Atlanta and take in a Braves game.)

Hope your DH feels better. Tomorrow looks really nasty for the northeast weather wise. If the Saturday game is rained out at YS, will you be able to go on Sunday?

At this point I guess that is what we are hoping for. And for DH to feel better than he did today (errr yesterday).

If the Sox go all the way and win the World Series, my guess is that Epstein won't care if they dress in drag and all get Mohawks.
Arroyo's corn rows were a bit over the top but Johnny Damon is a fine looking man! Actually he looks better with his hair long and the whole beard thing.

Epstein should just worry about winning and let the grooming policy take care of itself.

Ah, Johnny Damon That sexy little scrubmuffin can park his shoes by my bed any time! (well, in my dreams he can.....lol.....in RL I'm loyal to my DBF.)

I was reallllllllllly nervous that this was going to be an ugly game after that foul ball foul-up in the first inning (thank goodness that call wasn't on the Yankees or that it didn't happen in Boston the way it had, or it might have been!)

I was exhausted yesterday, and ended up going to be mid-way through the 6th, so I was delighted to wake up to the win this morning! Funny thing is, I was on the phone with my best friend (she and I always watch the Yankees/Red Sox games together over the phone) and when I went to bed, I told her "You realize if the Red Sox win, I'm going to have to go to bed in the middle of the sixth inning for this entire series, don't you?" Looks like I may be taking an afternoon nap today!

I think the corn rows are gone from Bronson's hair as I saw an interview after the game and they appeared to be gone!! thank goodness.

As for the grooming thing, they take it as a sign of team spirit or something like that. Nothing wrong with that, and I think it looks just fine.

Bronson still had the corn rows at last nights game....some of them now seem to have a much "heavier" goatee thing working....hey, if it makes them all continue to gel...go for it...

to me it is not worse than some guys wearing all the really heavy necklaces that hang out of their shirts...seems to me that would be considered distracting...but it is let by...
