Just a friendly reminder to everyone here that it is Election Day. So dont forget to VOTE today!!!

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. ~Walt Disney
:D

Definately heading out to vote here today! I think we will have a larger than normal turnout for a non presidential year here because of the death of Senator Wellstone. Minnesota always seems to have the highest voter turnout in the country anyway.

You have been given the choice, so make it!!

Thanks for the reminder. While I always vote, our country fought so hard for this right. I'm at a point in my life where I'm tired of all the BS. Not one candidate talks about the issues any more. It's all about what a mistake you'll make if you vote for the other candidate. Dirty tricks and innuendos win an election, this is :(

I'm tired of it all, mudslinging, promises that are never kept, important issues that are never discussed, jobs created for major campaign workers, favors for big companies who support your election with mega money.

I'm tired of the bickering between the two parties.

Maybe I need to look at this in a new light. Anyone know how I can get beyond all this and feel excited about elections and the candidates again? Everytime I think I'm about ready to get excited about a candidate again, some dirt comes out, that this person really is not a person for the people, but a person for themselves.

Yes, I will go vote and hope I can sort through all the BS and vote for the person who I think represents my thoughts and values.

Mamu, don't believe everything you "hear" about a candidate from a special interest group. They are very good at making good decisions look bad.

I can't wait to vote. I'd love to go this morning, but Chris won't be able to take me until this afternoon.....:( I wanr a crack at those electronic voting machines....:D

I will be voting!
AND I am so looking forward to NO MORE computer phone calls!!!
In fact our president called us last night at 9:30pm!!!;)

LOL! I got my first call like that yesterday. It was channeled through our privacy director. By the time I picked up, the automated voice said,"Privacy Director'. Then I heard an excerpt from the automated campaign call. All I heard was some guy's voice saying,"TAXES, TAXES, TAXES". Then the PD voice said,"Press 1 to accept, Press 2 for sales reject." Click.

I couldn't tell who the ad was for. All I know is 'TAXES, TAXES, TAXES!'.....:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

DH and I walked to the elementary school at 6 this morning to cancel each other out while voting as we always do!

I stopped off to vote on my way to work this morning.

Heather, I thought Georgia's new touch screen voting was great! A tremendous improvement!:D

Just got back from voting, but thanks for the reminder :D

I did! I did! I even have my little flag vote sticker to prove it!:D

And, if possible, TAKE YOUR CHILDREN WITH YOU!!

One of my most vivid childhood memories is going into the voting booth with my mom. I must have been, oh, 4 or 5, because I wasn't in school yet. But I remember how important and official it all seemed, all the people there, etc. It really showed me how important it is to vote. We make it a point to bring our children with us to the polling places now, to hopefully teach them the same lesson in civic responsibility, by our example.

I wish that I could vote today. Being here in Venezuela on election day is the pits. We checked into absentee voting, but it is a huge hassle with lots of red tape!!! I believe that my state will have a run-off so I will be home for that!! YEAH!
I am indeed thankful for the privilege!! Being in another country sure has taught me to appreciate what we have in America!!!!!!!!

Deb …me too…I remember voting with my mom.

We take our boys to vote with us. The big joke in our polling place is that my sons get to vote twice. My wife takes them when she gets out of work. I take them again when I vote later on.

When I walk in with my two boys everyone makes a big deal that my son’s are voting twice. The old ladies at the polling place really get into it. Even saying that they will have to check with the local election board to see if it is legal for my sons to vote twice. Everyone gets a kick out it.

GO OUT AND VOTE!

I voted at 3:00 today. That's the best time to vote around here. There is never a line at that time...shhhh
