I've been researching the card through Costco, and would love some first hand reviews. It seems like one heck of a deal...so...what's the catch?

Please respond with your review and a list of how you spent your 4 days!

TIA~

The only thing I see wrong with the Go card is you are financially tied to these excursions so you dont have flexibility to explore on your own or choose what you want to do once you get there. ie-rainy weather might make you not want to do a specific excursion but if you leave it to the last day and then get rained out or sick or something and cannot do it you have lost the prepaid funds.

We have been doing tons of research on the card and have decided to buy it. Sounds like a great deal. After one or two of these excursions the pass is paid for. You can go to as many of the over 30 places listed u want to. It's a great savings.

Its a great savings but you will be constantly on the go. It will be hard to do everything that is offered. You have to drive to the individual attractions so travel time will eat into attraction time. Pick the atttractions you cannot miss and see if it is cheaper than buying them separetly.

This is hawaii and you are vacation. Take it easy and donot force yourself to do too much. You wont have a relaxing vacation otherwise. Would not recommend seeing hawaii like doing commando style at the disney parks.

Relax and donot try to force yourself to do every single thing. I have lived here for over 40 years and have not done all the attractions on the go oahu card.

We are only planning on doing a handful of the options in the card but he not two of the options would already cost more than the price of the Go Oahu Card per person. So either way it's a deal.

You have two weeks to use the card once you activitaye it and there are over 30 items to choose from so I don't see how you would lose money if it rains etc. just go the next day or pick another excursions.

I have ordered the Hawaii Entertainment Book, hoping there are some good coupons in there for some of the attractions we want to visit!

We looked into that book too and calculated that we get much better deals with the Costco special of the 4 day Go Oahu Card. Way more bang for your buck.

Question about the card...does everyone in the party need a card?

Yes everyone in your party needs a card for entry into any attraction. Kids cost less than adults. For two adults and one 10 year old we only paid $507.97 total for the 4 day card from Costco. For different amounts of days from 1 day to 7 you can order online directly from Go Oahu Card

I think that works if you plan it with that in mind. One thing I see over and over are people who plan to do a surfing excursion on the last couple of days of their vacation and then the waves or weather dont co-operate so they dont end up surfing at all. My point is that you should do the activity/activities you want to do the most on the first few days so that you have not spent the $$$ to end up doing other things to justify the cost. I am sure the Go Card is a great deal for people who love to be busy all vacation. I would love to hear your review of the Go card once you have finished your trip as friends and family always ask me if I think it is worth it or if I think they should get it. I know there have been a couple of Aulani reviews here on the Disboards where people have really liked having it.

We made reservations for 4 excursions on the first 4 days of our 7 day trip:
1st day: All Day Oahu Tour
2nd day: Luau and show at the Polynesian Cultural Center and entry to the Cultural Center before the dinner to walk around etc...
3rd day: Jungle Movie Tour at Koaloa Ranch
4th day: Tour of Pearl Harbor (includes admission to USS Arizona, Battleship Missouri, Aviation Museum, USS Bowfin Submarine)

The rest we are gonna take by ear when we get there. Only 4 reservations so we get to relax that last days at Aulani and dont have too much planned so no crazy running around to a million things every day. So for us this Oahu card more than pays for itself for the places we are gonna see above and if we decide at the last minute to get up and do another item on the list of things we can do with the card we can do it without worrying about the money. If you dont try to do everything on the card choices or plan everything for the last part of your trip then you are fine in my opinion.

Thanks for the reviews. It sounds like a great deal for our situation!
