The following is snipped from the DVC email newsletter. I hadn't seen this much description of the new show, so I thought I would share it here:
There's a new way to kick up your heels at the Magic Kingdom® Park. It's Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree at the world-famous Diamond Horseshoe Saloon in Liberty Square. You'll dance up a storm with Goofy, his pals Chip & Dale, and the stars from Disney/Pixar's Toy Story 2, Woody, Bullseye, and Jessie. Y'all are in for a rootin' tootin' good time as you follow along with the characters as they teach you "The Boot Scootin' Boogie," "The Electric Slide," "Cotton Eyed Joe," and "The Goofy Two-Step." So bring your dancin' shoes and sing along with some of your favorite Disney pals. And while there are no autographs (after all, this here is a dance party), tell Ma and Pa to bring their cameras to capture all of the magical, musical fun at Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree! You'll want to join in the fun on your next visit, so be sure to check the Magic Kingdom Park Times Guide for show times.
Sounds a bit 'corny' to me, but I'm sure my kids will get a 'kick' out of it! :jester:

BTW, has anyone seen this yet? I had heard somewhere that soft openings were set to begin late June.

Put on your parka if you are planning a trip to visit Hades - the "Electric Slide" is featured in a WDW attraction in the year 2003.

Seriously, is that song in keeping with the theme of Frontierland???

man, I was hopeful. Shoot. I was hoping it would be like that show they had in disneyland. Yuck. To me that is like a poke in the eye, but I'm sure it will be fun for kids and for parents who enjoy that sort of thing. It will probably appeal to the general public like that horrible castle show has. Damn.

Whattsa matta? You don't like that horrible castle show, or you don't like the general public? I know you don't like a poke in the eye. {Im not thrilled with that myself} :p

We just returned from WDW and as fans of the Original Diamond Horseshoe, we had to see the new show. Considering we waited 20 minutes in line for a show that turned out to be 12-15 minutes long, we were not happy campers. Basically the show has a dance instructor who attempts to teach kids some of the line dances in about 3 minutes per dance. The characters come out and "dance" around with the kids. Nothing professional or engaging about this show, but it probably would appeal to pre-school kids who love the characters. We won't go back.

Mitros -
I like the general public, but I don't like that castle show, but a lot of people do.

I don't like it because everytime I walk by the same thing is happening, and it cuts off being able to walk through the castle to fantasyland.

We just got back and took our daughters (8 and 4) to the show twice. I think for younger kids who like the Toy Story characters, it is great fun. Since the show is relatively new and not heavily publicized, the crowds were small - no more than 15-20 kids involved. To get to dance to dance, one-on-one, with Jessie or Woody was tremendously magical for our youngest. It is a simple show and yes, the Electric Slide was out of place - and the cowgirl host's script can get tiresome after repeated performances. I'm a fan of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue since they had sit-down table service. This poor-man's replacement is at least better than your typical meet-and-greet. We liked it.
