Hey everyone!! Sitting at the airport now waiting for our flight to NY, before heading onto Orlando in 4 days! Can't believe it's finally here!!!

Am loving Heathrow, staff seem so much friendlier than Gatwick. Can't say the same about the passengers... have been hit by 3 giant bags so far and only one person has said sorry! Am sitting in Starbucks now calming down!!

Terminal 5 Travelodge was fine, especially for the price we paid, and Meteor Meet and Greet met us at the agreed place and time, so all seems well! Actually, must go check the flight is on time...

Thank you all for your help, and see you in 16 days!!

:cool1:Have a wonderful time, im sure once you leave the hustle and bustle of the airport, you will relax and get into full holiday mode:cool2:

Only been from Gatwick once, hope I never go again.:rotfl2:

Hi!! Having a great time in NYC. The weather is PERFECT! We are out in clothes we brought for Orlando today!!

For those who asked about NY we are staying at the Comfort Inn on 35th St and I can't recommend it highly enough! Free wi-fi, free breakfast, and a great location - we are 1 minute from Macy's, 2 minutes from Empire State, and about 8 minutes from Times Square. The room is a nice size as well.

We did the circle line boat tour this morning, which was really interesting, had lunch sitting outside in Times Square, and this afternoon have been to the WTC site and Wall Street area. We followed it up by going to the building they used for the outside shots in Friends! I tell you one thing - I won't need to go on any thrill rides next week - the taxi rides have covered that already for me!! :scared1: Crazy driving!!!!!!

Anyway, see ya real soon!

Sorry I missed you before you left, but hope you have a great trip, sounds like you're having a fab time in NY! We've only been there once for 4 nights (like you, we stopped off there en route to Orlando) but your post has made me quite nostalgic to go back as we loved our mini-trip and even stayed in a similar area opposite Madison Square Garden.

I ran straight off and googled and bookmarked your hotel as ours was only ok but I felt it was expensive for what we got....never know when I might get the urge or opportunity to visit again and it's important to be prepared ;)

Hope you get the chance to pop in again with an update of your adventures :)

Hi again!

New York was great - can't believe its over already and we are off to Orlando tomorrow at 5am :scared1: We have fitted so much in. I really loved NY and highly recommend it - I would happily lose a day off Orlando to have an extra day here to be honest - not words I thought I would ever say!

Spent most of today in Central Park - so much to do and see there. We spent an hour on the boating lake which was lovely - have been so lucky with the weather!

Yesterday we did the Top of the Rock which was much better than the top of Empire State - you seem to be able to see much more stuff of interest from the Rock! Then we came across a street market where loads of different foods were being cooked - I finally got to live my dream and try some deep fried oreas  They were as good as I hoped! We saw Wicked last night - cannot recommend that highly enough, and had dinner at Ellen's Starlight Diner beforehand - the waiters are all singers and sing through the entire meal - was so much fun!

Will go on the NY thread on the community board when I get home and post much more! No free wi-fi in Disney so see you all in a couple of weeks! Now desperately trying to re-pack the suitcases!!!! Thats the problem with having a hotel so close to Macys . . . !!

I've started my food report (link below!) if anyone is a foodie like me! Trip report to follow soon! Just in case you're interested . . .:goodvibes

Just what I've been waiting for. I'm not really much of a foodie - just love your reports though! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2
