The first person to post in each thread must quote the OP, so if the OP does the "edit-nevermind" maneuver, we still know what the OP said.

Oh, I thought we were only supposed to quote the whiny posters who want everyone to affirm their warped sense of reality who will then edit their post or ask the post to be removed by the moderators once the majority of folks tell them they are way off base.

I try to avoid those posts/posters anyway. I have a low tolerance for whining, attention-seeking idiots.

It doesn't work to well anyway, You can put anything or change anything in the quotes, it doesn't make it true.

Actually its been around long enough that the "new" part should just be dropped. Just call it the Rule. Someone, anyone, must quote the OP because they usually end up changing their post at some point as thread doesn't go the way they intended.
