Gnomies Gone Wild

Hey girls!

This gnomie is OK. I am subbing all week, and Mon/Tues next week for a teacher who had surgery. It's fine but this whole get-up-and-go-to-work-everyday thing stinks! :headache: It however means I am earning my May trip so I guess I should be happy about it :thumbsup2

I am NOT ready for Christmas and suddenly we are a week away...how did that happen? :confused3 I am not done shopping, I haven't started wrapping, christmas cards aren't mailed, treats for gifts haven't been started, etc. etc

I have a TON of errands this weekend and now they are saying a big storm may hit us next wed/thurs just in time to make travelling difficult - UGH!

Is anyone else ready for Christmas?

I'm ready for Christmas!!! :santa:

I love Christmas, it doesn't even stress me out this year. I think I am making up for all the times I stress out during the year. :rotfl2:

I do think a lot of people this year are not getting into the Christmas Cheer. It's been a hard year for a lot of folks.

LL, I love Christmas too but for some reason it seems to have snuck up on me this year. I think I just kept thinking there was more time and put things off. Now that I am teaching 7 straight school days, I am left with this weekend to get it all done (yay, just what I want, to go to the stores the weekend before Christmas!) Also, I sort of forgot about Greg not being around because of basketball which leaves me with all the responsibilities at home. It's one thing to know...it's another thing to KNOW!

I totally get what you are saying. Last year, I was very bah humbug which was not like me at all. But I was going through a lot at that time so I think that is why I wasn't into it. This year I'm full force Christmas. :rotfl2:

It must be really hard for Greg to be gone so much with basketball!

I'm with you Katie...Christmas snuck up on me too!!!!! I do have my cards out and I have sent out gifts but I didn't really decorate much at all...put up stockings and did my dinning room table...so I'm with you!! We head out to Houston this afternoon I'm really looking forward to spending a few days there!!!!

I don't do lots of christmas decorations, basically the tree and mantel which we did after Thanksgiving. I started our Christmas letter 2 weeks ago and even did envelope labels and printed them out. I just haven't folded, stuffed and stamped. Patrick will love to help me with that I'm sure. Both boys will want to help with the treat baking (even though it is MUCH easier to do myself!) and both would love to help wrap (again...easier to do myself). It's really the santa stuff I have to go over 1 last time to make sure they have the same number of gifts and need to wrap them all.

If I didn't have the cleaning/dishes/laundry built up over the week, I would be fine. It's the addition of the christmas stuff on the regular housework that gets ignored when I am working full-time that is stressing me out.

Yes, Greg being gone so much is hard on the boys. He MAYBE spends 10 minutes a day with them. I'm actually enjoying working at the same school this week because I get to eat luch with him :lovestruc In fact, he just walked in with food so I'm gonna go chow!

Hi strangers! How are you? I'm Julia! Remember me?!

I miss you guys!

I'm settled in.... I think. LOL. We have a mass of boxes still in the basement. But... the majority of our stuff is where it's supposed to be. LOL. I still have pictures to hang and curtains to buy but.... mostly I'm settled.

Rachael is in her new school. She doesn't love it like she loved her other school but she likes it OK. Unfortuneately she hasn't really clicked with any of the kids but hopefully next year maybe she'll make some good friends....

I've decided not to start school in January. Only because I want to pay off our credit card debt in 2010. Jim got a new job we'll have a better oppurtunity to pay it off in the next 6 mos. or so...

Speaking of Jim...he's going to Cali to be a Best Man in his friend's wedding over Memorial Day weekend. I was going to do a trip to Disney while he was gone, but considering it's Memorial Day weekend, combined with an unexpected feeling of guilt over sharing in the joy of Disney with a friend instead of my family, I've decided to postpone that until hopefully next October. I'm gonna do a 3 or 4 day cruise instead. Probably with Royal Carribbean.

So, thankfully I've kept up with most of you via status updates on FB, but I do miss our chats, and hope to start coming by here more often again, now that the weather is turning chillier...

Later my Gnomies!:goodvibes

I doubt that I am even allowed to call myself a Gnomie anymore since I have been MIA for so long, but had some time tonight, have been getting pretty caught up on everything, and wanted to take a moment to at least hop over here and send a very warm hello out to everyone, and wish you all the very best for your holiday seasons this year!!!! As I said over on my TR, things have been C-R-A-Z-Y really since we returned from our trip in September....but all good crazy for sure!!! I have missed the opportunities I used to have to hop on and "chat" with all of you, but you by no means have been far from my thoughts! I hope everyone is in good health!!!! Chat with you more soon!

Hi gnomies!

Life has been a tad on the crazy side lately but I miss you all. Just wanted to pop over and wish each of you and your families a very Merry Christmas. Hope that Santa brings you everything on your list including:

- a stay in your favorite resort
- unlimited supply of mickey bars, dragon cooladas, cream cheese pretzels, champagne or whatever your favorite treat is
- a Disney gift card with unlimited spending

:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:

Hi ladies!

I'm sorry I've been MIA for so long. There were just too many issues to have time for Dis-ing between work and some family problems and health problems (don't worry, everyone is fine) and then more work problems (I got two promotions though!).....things were just too stirred up!

But now that Christmas is coming things should die back down!:santa:

I hope you all have an amazing holiday and I promise to be back more often! Especially since I now have an official April trip!!!:yay: I hope you're all doing well and taking care of yourselves and your families!:grouphug:

What a lovely Christmas gift...Julez, Jen and Stace all show up to say Hi in one week!!!

This has turned out to be a bit of an unfortunate holiday for us. First my parents decided they couldn't come home. Now Patrick is sick and the weather forecast is downright rotton (ice yesterday, rain this morning, more ice later today and several inches of snow tonight and tomorrow). My brothers and I have decided to postopone our family celebration to Saturday (so we will miss a sledding party a friend is having). We will just be hanging out in the quiet and warmth of home today and tomorrow.

Just trying to keep the Christmas spirit and remember all I have to be grateful for! Thanks my dearest gnomies for being one of the wonderful things in my life!!!

Love you guys!!!

(oh C, I love your wish list. Let me know if Santa comes through for you! :santa:)
