I think the one I like best is #5. I think. :rotfl2:

Just don't tell him it was my idea unless he REALLY loves it. :rotfl2:

Good morning, Gnomies! I am off today -- took Chelsea to the doctor and they sent us for chest x-rays. I am a nervous wreck waiting for the results.

OH Jackie  I'm sure it will all turn out fine!! The doctor is just making sure he checks everything and that is a good thing!!!! How is Chelsea feeling today??? I hope she is doing a bit better!! I will say a prayer for both you and her and that you will get the results as soon as possible!

Thanks, Jen! The doctor said her lungs sounded good when we went in, but sent us across the street for x-rays just to make sure. The lab tech happened to be the mom of one of my students (gotta love living in a small town) whose daughter also used to play soccer for Charles. She showed me the films and said, "I am not supposed to read these, but this looks cruddy," and showed me how the bottom portion of one of Chelsea's lungs was all cloudy and white looking. Ugh. I hate waiting. Chelsea doesn't feel or sound better -- it's killing me.

Oh no!!! Is she on any antibiotics at all??? Poor Chelsea..it is no fun being sick, please let her know I'm thinking of her today!!!!!! I really hope they call you back very soon with those results so you can focus on helping her feel better!!!

See, that's probably why the techs aren't supposed to show you the films! I am sure everything will be fine.:grouphug::hug:

No antibiotics yet -- the doctor wanted to see the x-rays first.

That's what I was thinking, too, about the films. Of course, my SIL (who is a nurse) and I have been googling pneumonia images on the internet to try and decide if that's what Chelsea's lungs looked like.

Yeah...you need to stop doing that! :grouphug:

How long until you get the results?

 Jen it would be so fun to just hop in the car and head to WDW with your days off. Remember last spring when they cancelled school here for a week because of an outbreak of H1N1? I SO wanted to hop a plane!! Good thing I didn't talk Greg into it because they called teachers back on Tuesday and kids back on Wednesday. It would have been terrible to be "stuck" in Orlando :rotfl:

 CP, any word yet? It looks like your last message was quite awhile ago. Sending you good thoughts that all is well.!

It's pneumonia. :( However, I guess I should be looking at the bright side -- it's just the beginning stages, and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic. Chelsea will be staying home with Charles tomorrow. I do hope she starts to feel better soon -- having her sick for so long is just breaking my heart.

STOP!!! It's bad enough that Paula even put the thought into my head and even worse that it could be a reality LOL...but no I'm going to stay here and face this storm LOL!!!!!!

I think both you and Phillip should escape. Maybe you can change his mind about Disney. Just think....you could do research....go take the DVC tour. :rolleyes1

yep yep...I agree!!! We're gonna have rain all day tomarrow.... but at least it won't be a hurricaine! C'mon down:banana::yay::cool1:

P

I really hope Chelsea gets better soon! But you're such a good mom CP, you're doing all you can for her right now until the meds start to kick in :goodvibes

How's Disney P!? I wish we could all take you up on that offer!!

There is a small chance we may be returning to Disney next month. The FMIL is growing on me and she's still inviting us to come with her. Now granted it is mostly based on if my new job accepts my vacation days, but it would be Fri Dec 11th until Tues Dec 15th. They're staying the 11th-18th, but I found a flight that leaves 6:25pm on friday night, so I would be able to work still on friday and not take off and I found a 7pm flight leaving Orlando on Tuesday, so I would be able to work on Wednesday...the best way to max the vacation with taking off the least amount of days. I priced flights and they are $365 total for the two of us and we're still deciding on tickets, trying to find a 3 or 4 day on ebay and we don't ever use hoppers. I've only found 2 days for $147, but I'm still working around, but regardless it would be about $800 for the 2 of us, plus part of a week's worth of groceries for food. FMIL would be paying for the rental car, resort (off site-boo :rotfl:) and groceries for most of the dinners and breakfasts, it would just be up to us to pay for in travel meals and lunches/snacks in the parks. Cross your fingers for us!!

Miss you all and hope you have a good day!

Hi everyone. LL's coworker here. I know I don't post much on the board but I do lurk and read posts. I feel I know some of you and have a favor to ask.

My 23 year old daughter Lynn has been in the hospital since Sunday with unknown vomiting and other end problems. She hasn't eaten since Saturday afternoon since nothing stays in her. She is thin normally but is looking worse since this started. She is scheduled for a colonoscopy sometime today. Could you please keep her in your thoughts and prayers? She is a nurse and knows how she's feeling & whats happening isn't good. Thanks in advance.

LL---hope all goes well with March tomorrow. You both will be in my prayers. Don't stress about your MIL.

CP---hope your daughter is okay. she also will be in my prayers.

Jess -- that would be too cool if you were able to get in a short trip to Disney! WOO HOO!!

Cheryl -- I hope everything is fine with Lynn. :grouphug:

OOOH I will say a prayer for both Chelsea and Lynn and hope they both get better very very soon!!!!!

Jess...Disney at the Holidays...I hope you will be able to work it out!! That would be so much fun!!!!!!!!

Ida came and Ida went....pretty tame for my first and hopefully last forray into all this hurricane/tropical storm nonsense...but it did get Jim down here so I'm not going to complain too much LOL!!!!
