GNER have rather changed my plans!

I should be on a train now, on my way to London to stay overnight with a friend before heading off to Ascot in the morning. But there were overhead problems and lots of trains (including mine) have been cancelled. I get different advice / options from everyone at GNER I speak to but have decided to follow the main advice and not try travelling today. According to station staff my ticket should be valid on any train tomorrow and they have given me a reservation for the 8.34 in the morning. I hope they are right as someone on their phone line said tickets were only valid for around the same time of day trains (no much use for getting to Ascot!)

I did make it - but GNER cancelled my train in the morning as well! Fortunately I was able to go to Grantham for an alternative (expensive cab ride!) but it was worth it. It was a fun day even if I didn't manage to pick any winners
