Okay, here's my latest--talked w/Dmitry again for a long time last night.
We are both stumped. I finally got tired of trying to change everything in IE, so I just put everything back to the defaults.
I signed up for a really long e-mail name at gmail, and I started using it last night by adding a dot and moving it around for each offer I did.
First, I went to SR (I use IE for SR). I did 8 offers, but not all at once. I did (for example) an MID offer and a GTL offer....never doing more than one company's offers at once. Once they credited it, I would try another. Does that make sense?
Guess what? 7 out of 8 credited! Yahoo!
So, then, I went over to QR. Dmitry has always said it's better to use FF for QR, so I keep a FF browser window open for just them. Again, I kept going w/the dot method (not repeating any previous dot versions--I keep an Excel spreadsheet and one thing I keep track of is what e-mail I used on what site/offer).
I did a daily survey (which SHOULD credit tomorrow, if I'm lucky), the Coupon Bar (my 2nd try) (it CREDITED), AutoSport catalog (2nd try, and it still didn't credit), Country Door catalog (2nd try, and it still didn't credit), Free Trade Magazines (how many of you have done this offer?) (it never credits), Nature Hills catalog (it DID CREDIT), Perfume Emporium (2nd try, and it still hasn't credited), and thissiteisforreal.com (which hasn't credited yet either).
So, for today at QR--7 offers and only 2 credited.
Now, Dmitry said that SR & QR use the same system, so it's not a matter of one site working better w/my computer over another, but honestly--I'm beginning to think otherwise.
Because why is everything crediting at SR and not here?
..and as far as SR, I'm assuming the $.01 deal for putting your referral number in your profile hasn't credited because Tricia is gone.
Oh yeah--someone asked me this, and I asked Dmitry last night--advertisers track by
e-mail address, ip address, and subid (userid)! So, my question is this--if they aren't basing it solely on the e-mail address you put in and your IP address is a factor......
How can we go back and try those noncrediting offers? Won't our IP address be the same and show up on their side?
Here is a quote from Dmitry:
Advertisers track by IP, Email and subid (your member id). The way this works is like this: An advertiser gives us a link to promote which has Quickrewards ID in it. When you click on our link a cookie stores the information and sends it over to the advertiser. Then the advertiser knows that you clicked on our link and checks to see if you signed up or just clicked. If you signed up, they fire back a pixel which shows up in our reports with your data to credit you. The problem is that something is causing the cookies from QR or SR to never reach the advertiser. Something is blocking it.
