Gluten free recipes

remember that gluten free doesnt necessily mean wheat free... check wheat free.org.. for recipes.. or go to the library to get "my child is allergic to everything" cookbook..

Actually you have that reversed. Wheat has gluten in it, therefore for something to be gluten free it must also be wheat free. However, wheat free does not necessarily mean gluten free as it may contain something other form of gluten. Gluten is in wheat, rye, barley, & indirectly oats (unless specifically gluten free and even then some people still have problems with it). I have Celiac and strictly adhere to a gluten free diet. :)

Yeah, if I didn't follow the diet then I would constantly be sick. The only times, I've had gluten since my diagnosis in 2006 has been unintentional in non-Disney restaurants that promised they understood my diet. Since then I only eat gluten free. Luckily Disney is wonderful! I did the College Program last fall and was spoiled by all the gluten free food I had access to there.

I took the fudge.
She ate it and loved it and wanted the recipe and said it was okay for her.
She doesn't have problems with Vanilla. Just wheat.
Her mom was also there, and has the same thing as her, and said she is fine with vanilla.
It was yummy and I am glad she could enjoy it!

:rotfl: ...here too...:teeth:

I'm actually planning on buying only the GF mix after the stuff I have on hand is gone. :)

So does my BFF, which is hard for her, bread has always been one of her favorite things.
