This will be our first trip to DLR when we've had to eat gluten-free. I don't love Disneyland food....although I'm sure we'll probably resort to the gluten-free offerings inside the parks several times strictly for convenience.
We have 9 days in the parks on this trip. Normally, our go-to place off-site is El Pollo Loco because it's quick, good, relatively healthy, and all of my kids will eat it. And while the regular chicken is gluten-free...they don't take special precautions to prevent cross-contamination, so we can't really eat there (my oldest son is really just beginning to get "well" for the first time in several years thanks to a gluten-free diet, and I would love to avoid any mishaps because they set him back for a couple of weeks).
I'll be doing a lot of grocery shopping and bringing plenty of foods in to the parks...but it sure would be nice to be able to rely on some restaurants too, just for convenience
sad1:I'm supposed to be on vacation - I would love to NOT have to spend so much time/thought preparing foods to bring in).
Any other celiacs out there....what are your go-to places outside the parks?
