Gluten free dairy free

The servers aim to please on DCL. The only time there would be any need for a discussion at the meal other than the first night or in Cabanas for breakfast and lunch would be if for some reason they had to make a change to the menu (not super common on DCL - it did happen a time or two on RCCL but options were pretty easily found).

The other time you would need to discuss at the meal is if you are doing a brunch or dinner at Palo or Remy.

If your cruise includes Castaway Cay, you will pre-order lunch and pick it up at Cookies One. My wife says that she would NOT recommend the GF/DF "cheese"burger there.

Have not done Remy but had an amazing time at both meals at Palo and it did not take any longer than regular.

Agreed. Because we were going to SB and I knew they had steak so I didn't bother pre-ordering lunch that day.

Yeah, I agree Palo wasn't a big deal at all. They walk you through the buffet regardless, so it's barely more effort for them to point out which things are ok and which aren't. Plus it's much easier to control the entree prep there.

We both completely spaced on CC lunch pre-ordering... DH did have to talk to a chef there. It was no big deal though, took an extra 10min maybe to get his food. When I realized we had forgotten, I internally freaked out a bit b/c people here kind of make it sound like the only way to safely eat there is to pre-order. They rolled with it though, and it was fine, just took having 'that' conversation another time.

At Palo's, our server gave my wife the secret recipe for their gluten free flat bread at the end of our meal. He brought over a wrapper for Udi's brand pizza crust.

Great thread. Answered some of my questions. I'll send in the form.
I can tolerate some gluten but have a severe reaction to dairy - both cow and goat milk. Can sometimes tolerate sheep milk. Ate something "lactose free" yesterday and suffered 12 hours of agony. Thank you PP for explaining the difference between lactose free and dairy free. I was attempting to create a document to enlighten servers. I also react to chocolate in any form. Sounds like fruit will be my dessert option.
