Gluten free cake?????

We have traveling with my MIL who has celiacs and we will be celebrating her birthday at CRT. I plan on ordering the gluten free cake and was just wanted to hear from anyone who has had it and if it is any good?

If anyone has any pictures that would be even better

I ordered a gluten free, dairy free cake on our last trip from the Wilderness Lodge. While it was quite tasty, I did end up getting a little sick from it. However, each kitchen is different, so hopefully, your cake will be just fine and no cross contamination will occur. I did get a very good gluten free/dairy free dessert from the Contemporary that was amazing! I can highly recommend their bakery.

Don't rember where on property I had it but there is a flourless chocolate cake that is to die for.

Thanks for the advice on cross-contamination. She will be having the cake our 1st full day so I hope that's not the case.

I love your blog! The cake looked OK. I wonder if they can do chocolate for the piping and get rid of the mickey sprinkles. Probably not but a girl can dream

I hope that your DD doesn't get any cross contamination! I think you should be OK. For the most part Disney is so amazing with the allergies--this was one of those rare occasions. Here's sending some pixie dust that it will all work out!

I'm glad you liked the blog--it's great that we can all share here on the disboards--it sure helps a lot!

The cake was OK. I wish they could do custom designs--but I was told not so much. I nearly freaked out when I got it b/c I thought the sugar design was actually white chocolate. I called to make sure! Wasn't the best gluten free cake, but not the worst either.

Can't wait to hear how it goes on your trip!
