I was lucky enough to get a Space220 Lounge reservation for lunch last Monday during my trip! I'm gluten-free and was a bit iffy on what I'd be able to order food-wise - I don't like deviled eggs or shrimp cocktail, which on a menu glance look to be the only things that would be safe. But I figured worst-case I'd see if I could order a side or two from the restaurant menu (which I know can be safe from Gluten Free & Dairy Free at WDW's review of the restaurant) and/or a cocktail or two.

Kourtni was my server and she immediately put me at ease - she had a cheat sheet of what could be done and would be running everything by the chef anyway. I was able to get the sliders - which were presented like a burger on one safe bun - which were awesome! The chocolate cheesecake dessert is also safe - well, the crunchy pearls were left off, but other than that. Also AMAZING!!!

So don't be afraid to go there if you're gluten-free but hate shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs. They can and will definitely work with you!!

PS - LOVED The Nebula cocktail too!

We just ate there as well and while we weren't gluten-free, I had a few of the same options as you and also found them so good!

Like you, I found the chocolate cheesecake amazing; FTR I don't think the pearls added anything other than decoration.

I also had the Nebula cocktail and loved that too =) A little stronger than I'm use to but so smooth.

It was so good! I wanted another, but I knew that the combination of all the food, the heat, and a second drink would just lead to disaster. So I resisted.

Thanks so much for sharing! Every bit of knowledge helps. I've been frustrated that Space doesn't have a published allergy menu. Glad to know the chocolate cheesecake is gluten free... I was worried about going for dessert and having only a scoop of sorbet as an option.

While I'm at it, can I ask if you have any favorite GF restaurants/foods at Disney?

At Disney Springs, I've found Boathouse to be super accommodating. (One note: their fries are not safe if cross-contamination is an issue) If you do brunch there, they have gf shrimp and grits that are YUM!!!!!

MK - Skipper Canteen!! They have a LOT on their menu that is/can be made gluten-free - most popularly (per my server this time) the Tastes Like Chicken because it's so uncommon to get gluten-free fried chicken! (At least without having to stop in and give notice so they can turn on the fryer...looking at you 50's Prime Time.)

Epcot - I've been super happy with Garden Grill both for breakfast (when they had that) and lunch. And now Space220 Lounge.

AK - The churros at Nomad Lounge are gluten-free period (you don't have to request them to be), though I do wish they'd go to the old berry dipping sauce rather than the new coffee). Satu'li Canteen is fabulous for gf - just no dessert option there.

I don't really go to Studios so I can't help there.

Resort-wise, Three Bridges at Coronado Springs is awesome with a good selection of options! They had a flourless chocolate cake at Contempo Cafe which is safe.

Overall I've had really good experiences pretty much wherever I've eaten at WDW. (And even Disneyland/DCA which from what I understand used to be a lot harder.)

Thank you very much! I will put all these on my potentials list!
