This is how I feel about the outdoor dance party at DCA, I just need to say this because I am hearing soo many people knock it before they try it. ok first of all its not annoying as you think, the drawings and layouts don’t do justice, its much better then you think. I at first thought glowfest was going to suck, but really it wans’t that bad, it was soo soo much fun, had a few epic nights, but that is a different story. anyhow it was fun, and I know for sure this new electronica, will be just as fun, if not the topping on the cake!! I always see the glass half full and I feel that if you havn’t tried the outdoor dance parties at DCA then you should experience it first before you start bringing it down. I know not many agree with me on that, but I OH WELL .. I just feel that glowfest/electronica gave something awesome to DCA, and hands down it had to be the best “club” style dancing I have ever experienced. I have seen those drawings on the Disney blog for electronica,as I did with glowfest, and I know it will be much, much better then it seems!

So I hope to see you each and everyone of you out there on the dance floor doing the Roger Rabbit with me!

I know, that why I said it works better on the DL side of the boards. Where people on the board actually live near DL. Verses the WDW stuff where most of the people don't live in Orlando they are from New York of elsewhere.

Though I do like the text style. It reminds me of Tomorrowland in the 70's.

I woudn't be too upset. They had dance parties in DL in the 80's and were very popular. Plus at the very least it is helping DCA stay open past 8.

I have heard a few people say they didn't like the alchohol at glowfest. But more people say that kids really liked it.

FWIW. Disney didn't design Glowfest and the rumor is the entertainment party was not happy about it. So you could guess since Disney designed ElecTRONica that they are swinging for the fences to beat the outsourced work.

I plan on being at DL that week, but I'm visiting DCA on Oct 7th!!! I'm gonna miss this by a day!!! Do you think they might do some preview before the 8th? Either the weekend before or sometime during the week? I just wanna see Flyn's Arcade and the 3D trailer on the Muppets screen. Hopefully they will do a preview or maybe they will launch it a week earlier. Hopeful Wishing!!!

I don't quite appreciate being singled out like that, and at any rate I never said I don't think others should enjoy it. I'm just glad to know that I will personally miss it. It's a combination of so many things that I purposefully avoid and why I choose to go to Disneyland. I'm sorry if my personal opinion offends you in some way.

I don't think the face painting was part of Glowfest, per se. But our granddaughter had her face painted in Sunshine Plaza just before we headed over to Glowfest when we were there. It was pretty close to the Glowfest area, so it didn't really matter if it was part of Glowfest or not.

It's got layzurz? Flynn's? Epic 80's dance music? and an arcade? It's like they found my childhood dreams and recreated it for us Gen-Xers!

I have to find a way to fit it in and pay a visit.

I have to admit I was not a big fan of glowfest either, and I tried it several times, although I wouldn't say I hated it, I did not love it either - but I am hoping the new electonica thing will be better because I do like lights and music and it if nothing else it is fun to watch others having fun.

And, where was glowfest? I guess we didn't stay late enough to see it. All we saw were some weird bollywood styles dancers on a stage. Not impressed.

Glowfest went from Sunplaza down to the Hollywood Backlot.

ElecTRONica will be much the same.

Hollywood BLVD will be decorated for this. The will have a band or dj playing and some activities. The is alos special vending. It runs when it is dark out.
