going to WDW in october, 2016!

Still available.

Just keep in mind that many of the items you buy (like the ears) can only be seen by OTHERS at the event and not the wearer.

There are one or two specific items (Sorcerer Mickey Wand and Mickey Mouse Glove) that the owner can hold and see, him/herself.

We have a hat and a couple wands and the wands are very popular with our family but the hat is heavy and awkward, plus you can't see it. The wands are brought out every night - lots of fun with them.

they are still available to purchase but at a $26 price tag they are not and have never been all that popular.
my bff and i bought them in disneyland in 2013 when they first introduced them and we were about the only ones wearing them at world of color. the magic of them is lost when there's not a sea of people wearing them.
and it seems like the only time i see a sea of people wearing them is on a tv special so i'm sure that they were given to a bunch of CM's to wear during the tv special to try to promot them.

We have the hat and enjoy it. However, like others have said, the wearer doesn't experience it. For that reason, we are leaving the hat at home this time and probably getting the wand. :wizard:

They also gave them away to many guests during the initial time that they were for sale.

So what you're saying is if I'm wearing the ears I won't be able to see them flashing?! sorry couldn't resist.

Their still available but not many people wear them. It would be a lot cooler if tons wore them and it worked how the videos show..but their expensive and you'll only see a few people here and there wearing them

Well, darn, i was hoping lots of the WDW guest would be wearing them during those two shows. i was so amazed when i saw this on youtube. i can't get over on how much WDW has changed since i last been there in 2009. So excited.

Sometimes the explanations require extra particulars, then further definitions and information, followed by additional details and clarification.

;)

I looked forward to them on our recent trip but was disappointed. I think I counted no more than 5 or 6 each night.

Our DGrD has the "Glow with the Show" ears. We were at Fantasmic last year and she had them on. They were "dancing" to the music.... well, a guest sitting behind us asked that she Remove them, since they were annoying....
She was so sad. But we didn't want to get the other guests angry. :(

I have a new pair from the Disneyland 60th. Does anyone know if they will work at WDW? We also have the magic paintbrush that changes to colors of the ears. This seemed to be more popular at DLR last summer, since they also coordinate with Paint The Night Parade. And, since cast members and guests could change your ears as you walked by. And we had fun "battling" others with wands and ears as we passed in the parks.

I was interested in getting them also. But I also worry that it will be bothersome to the guests sitting behind us, so I put it down.

I agree that it will be fun if majority of the audience are using them.

The wands are a blast! We got them for our kids last year, and they had so much fun at Fantasmic switching the color of unsuspecting guests' Magic Ears. Some of those guests had no idea why their ears weren't doing what they wanted them to :)

A few nights later, they were doing the same at Wishes, when my daughter noticed her wand's color kept changing. About 30 feet to the right of us was another little girl with a wand, pointing it over at us.

What a fantastic product!

We got the ears a few years back for DGS, they now reside in our garage :( They were heavy and after wearing them at Fantasmic! they stayed in the room the rest of the trip.

I have not noticed the wands, but those sound like a lot more fun as described above by nilla.

How on Earth is that annoying? I think some people's annoyance threshold is debilitatingly low.

The hats are bright and if their sitting right in front of you it can be distracting from the fireworks or whatever show you're watching.
