Glow sticks on board?

I was wondering if glow sticks are popular, common, or even allowed on board? I work for a company and get them cheap, and my son (who is 3 and shy) likes to share them with other kids as a way to be social.

Yes, they are fairly common.
Yes, they are allowed.

I usually get those glow stick bracelets to hand to well-behaved kids I find onboard (also on Pirate night). Sadly, there aren't enough of them to break the bank yet.

Yes, we actually brought some from dollar tree that turned out to be DUDS! A cast member saw us open them and noticed they didn't work and went to the back (in the Oceaneers Lab) and brought out 2 news ones for my kids!

That right there scares me about our upcoming cruise- having so many children in a condensed area is scary enough, but if they're misbehaving... beware the snowball effect! Haha.

For the most part it's not all that scary. And I'm probably harder on who's "behaving" than their parents are. But there some kids (read that as parents) out of control with no rules.
