Just thought I would share. I was at Target yesterday and in their "Dollar Spot" bins, they had a 15 pack of skinny bendy (bracelet type) glow sticks for you guessed it! A dollar!

We get these every year. I buy about 20 of them and then pass them out at night to the kids around us. they aren't the best glow sticks, but kids don't care.

Why "not the best of glowsticks"? I bought some yesterday. Are they "sturdy" or "safe"? Not prone to crack and leak?

I'm nervous since the ones I bought at a dollar store last year. My three year old who was not the kind to play with her mouth somehow ended up with glowstick goo on her tongue (really noticeable when it happens in the dimness at Coral Reef, LOL) So I didn't give her anymore. Months later, I was confident it wouldn't happen again and I opened the next box- two of them cracked and leaked just by wearing them.

I'm hoping these from Target are better since I've never seen glow sticks do that before. Maybe a bad brand or a bad lot#.

I bought a few of these too. I hope they are safe. If you have a Five Below by your house, check there for glow sticks as well. They are usually pretty cheap there and we've gotten interesting things like adapters to make balls.

A lot of ours broke and the kids were disappointed that the clips t make them stick together didn't work well.
Now we just watch them carefully and if we see one break we toss it immediately.

Bringing glow sticks from home is the best!

At Disneyland, you literally have to camp out (on the ground, on a blanket) for more than an hour to see Fantasmic. Glow sticks totally saved me. Each kid had a couple and they kept rearranging them, making them into glasses, necklaces, etc. Those and a snack kept them happy for over an hour. They also helped me keep track of the kids in a mess of people on the way out later.
