Heres the concept...help me figure out how to do it...
Black t-shirt with a neon or glow in the dark design. We are a group of Disney Moms (Divas!) traveling to the World to celebrate a 40th birthday...have light up tiaras, glow stick bracelets and necklaces to wear to night time shows (Fantasmic, Illuminations, Spectro, Wishes...) and thought some sort of a glow in the dark t-shirt would complement our ensemble!
:cutie:
:thanks:

You can find glow-in-the-dark paints and iron-ons in the craft section where you find the t-shirt paints (I've seen them in Michaels and AC Moore as well as a small selection at Wal Mart.) You can paint an original design or add paints to one of the DISigns here.

Has anyone seen a glow in the dark transfer paper?

Thanks for the response! :thanks:
I was @Michael's today and didn't see anything...but then again I didn't ask...
We were looking at a DISign with fireworks (Wishes) and wanted to make the DISign glow or sparkle! Thought of outlining/tracing, going over the DISign with a glitter pen or glow in the dark paint...

last year I made halloween shirts for MNSSHP and I made hidden Mickeys with glow in the dark paint...it was really cool. I got the paint in a Kid Concoctions kit. The sell it at Micheals too.

have fun

There is such a thing as glow in the dark transfers. I did our Halloween tshirts for Disney with them last year. I think this is where I purchased from.

The only thing I found though was that it didn't glow like I thought it would. We carried around a flashlight with us and kinda recharged our shirts throughout the night. They would only glow for a shirt time and then be regular shirts. I just used a regular household iron though so maybe if you use a heat press it works better. I see now in their directions something about reaching a certain temperature.

Hope this helps a little!

Great Amy! Thank you for the info and link!

I added sparkles to some of our shirts. I used adhesive spray by Elmer's. I had to let it dry for like 24-36 hours. On one I did not and when I tried to get out of the car my sweatshirt had stuck to the back of the seat lol. I peeled myself out and the DISign was ok, but Sparkles got everywhere (which is ok with me!) and I got some grey fuzz on my shirt which i can't get off now lol.

It's all part of the experimenting!

So do you think its worth it to use this glow in the dark tranfer paper since you had to keep recharging them??? (Would you use it again?) :surfweb:

I would do it again - it didn't work as well as I had hoped they would but it was very cool for our Halloween shirts and people around us really got a kick out of it.

Have found the regular transfer paper @Michael's...no glow in the dark transfer paper or paint (have looked @Michaels and the craft department @Wal-mart.) Found some spray on glitter at Michael's tonight that I might use to make the fireworks sparkle! :thumbsup2

I love the DISign! I think I'd be able to black out the year and put in 2008 but I don't know that it would match-not sure what "finish" or color they used for the text. I could also just change all of the text so that it matched (I think).

I would appreciate it if you could try!
