GLOW II: The Bounceback... Multiple Meets!!!.. First 1/2 of Sept 2008

Oh Linda, I certainly didn't mean to hurt your feelings:sad1: I just found the comment funny considering all the "handymam" projects you take care of. Way out of my league, I can barely even paint a room. Please accept my sincere apology- I consider you a friend and would never hurt you intentionally .:lovestruc Bon

Bonz, you silly gal. You should know me better than that. I are silly and not the least bit touchy at all. I hate folks like that. Makes me weary tip toeing around them. I thought the 'wittle' would tip you off.

The electrician will be here in a bit. Going to make my life a bit easier along with putting up the new DR light fixture. My house looks less and less like a bordello all the time. My husband has strange tastes that I am no longer catering to. House is getting classy, like me. (Bonz, do not make a remark, although I will be very disappointed if you do not) :rotfl2:

Linda, Airtran has a $25 coupon out. You could fly rd trip for about $150.00 bucks. A 2 hr plane ride has it all over a 20 hr drive. Email me.
Bon
I'll happy to take you back to the airport on departure day:hippie:

I just booked with that coupon myself today for my return flight!! YEAH but it still cost me like 121 plus taxes YUCK!!

....but you are dealing with a woman who will be celebrating her 60th BD on her very first solo trip ever. If I cut loose it could be like a girdle put on a young girl and taken off at middle age when she has gained a good 50 or so pounds. It might be a relief to me but it could be dangerous to be around. :rotfl: :scared1: :scared: pirate: :dance3:

AhHa!!! Another young'un at heart willing to admit just a sip of a frozen goodie makes her drunker than a young sailor....and celebrating her 60th at WDW!!! I did it last December - wearing my first ever birthday button and what fun!!!
Oh, How I wish I could join you all for the the fun, but alas, and  , a first grandbaby is due right at the same time!

Ya'll are going to have a trip to remember!!

ScatCats is the best!!! Have a MAGICAL trip!!:goodvibes

Hi! I just found this thread but am at work and didn't have time to read it all and get caught up to speed. :) My family and also "mom_of_3_70737"'s family will be at POR 9/11-9/16. Have any party dates been made during that time period? :goodvibes Would love to meet everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome! :goodvibes I will definitely keep checking the posts for something during our stay! Thanks again and have a great trip! :)

BaciBecky, Congratulations on the first grandchild. Now that is an occasion worth missing DW for!! Grandkids are your reward for not killing your children. The reason that grandkids and grandparents get along so well is that they have a common enemy, their parents. :rotfl: I have one spending the night tonight and the older one, nearly 17 still comes by even when he does not want something. I love it!

Paparazzimama, welcome and I do hope you can join in our shinanagins. With your screen name might we believe that you could be our official photographer? :worship: Please make mine 50 pounds lighter and blonder. You DO take requests? :worship:

Back to work for me. I cannot wait to see what the DR looks like with a tablecloth instead of a tarp on the table and all the paint equipment gone. There are two corner places that I could not reach but otherwise it is all done except for putting up a swag over the windowseat blinds and finding the 'perfect' placemats. Not that this room gets any use anymore but I am staging for the new owners. One of the workers was very interested yesterday and did not flinch when I mentioned the prospective price.

Just a pipe dream right now though.

:rotfl2: You're a riot! I have a t-shirt that says "my kids think I'm the paparazzi" and thus a screenname was born! :rotfl2: Should I get to partake in your fun festivities I will ABSOLUTELY be the official photograhper! :yay: And I'm getting pretty good at photoshop so send the requests on! :lmao: Thanks for the warm welcome! :goodvibes

Paparazzimama. I hear you! I am currently transferring my hundreds/thousands of negatives into digital form and have come to the conclusion that my dh must have raised the kids himself since there is no evidence of a mother at all, except for the occasional thumb. :rotfl2:

I will be the woman standing in the back, hiding my big belly behind anyone who is kind enough to allow it. I can photoshop too if anyone else needs a bit of 'enhancement'. If only real life were like that. What I would not give for a 'delete' and 'backspace' button on my life. :hippie:

Now DH has decided to join in the fun:scared1: We booked his flight tonight. He is really coming to do beer flights with KB's DH:lmao: It's ok, I can leave the kids with him and Kelli & I will go have some fun:dance3: :yay:

Love ya,

I am not up to actually being a 'wild woman' but I wanna watch! Might get some tips. Might be able to give a few too as I read a lot and know about things I have never actually done.:thumbsup2

Slightly Goofy (getting ready to go watch my boy play ball)

Well, I hate to even type it, but.........
We had to cncel our trip today. We found a leak in our kitchen that has started rotting our foundation and the ouside wall of our house so we have to hold off disney till a later date.......I am sooo upset, I really wanted to go and stay in the contemporary for the first time and get to see all my dis friends, but we were having money troubles before and this leak was just icing on the cake.

Hope you all enjoy your trips though and I cant wait to read the trip reports.:thumbsup2

Oh and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!:grouphug:

heath-and-javens-mom, I am so very, very sorry. I have a friend who had something similar happen and her insurance would not pay because they said the leak should have been detected and corrected earlier to avoid the damage. Yeah, those leaks are so evident. NOT!!!! :sad2:

I wish I could offer to share my vacation with you but we would not all fit in one room. I hate it that this trip is a no go but maybe all will be well next year and you will get all your heart desires and MORE!!!!

Now this sounds like the perfect evening! Watching wild women do their thing!

SlightlyGoofy - if only I could get down at that time - it's rare to find a friend a less wild as myself :rotfl: Hey, did I mention in another lifetime , about 100 years ago (okay, so I was 18 and it seems like a 100 yr ago)...anyway, I was nun. Not one who wroked with children etc, but a cloistered nun who carried the world in prayer each day.

Hmmm, so why on earth did I mention that now? No idea - the thought has left the brain!!:upsidedow

How was the game?:)

heath-and-javens-mom : Oh, how awful! I'm so sorry.

Well, just think of the fun you'll have planning the new trip! And it will be that much more special too. :thumbsup2

:grouphug: I hope everything goes well and that they find things not as bad as they original thought.

BaciBecky, it is not that I do not want to be wild but I had a very wild life when I was younger, more of an audience than participant though. I enjoy the quiet boredom having had the turbulent times. What an interesting life you have had. I would love to know more, if you want to talk about it. If you had been out in the world working with children and such I would have teased you that you know more about the 'dark side' than many. I do not know how old you are, I am guessing somewhere in my age range, which would mean that you did not miss too darned much IMO. I am adaptable and sort of am what the person I am with is. I have seen it all and nothing surprises me. I can appreciate differences without necessarily agreeing. I enjoy meeting different people and hearing their stories. You never know, our paths might cross one day, stranger things have happened. :woohoo:

heath-and-javens-mom, I am thinking of you today as I know that bad news seems to get a bit worse with each passing day while good news fades. While it is disappointing , to us as well, it will make your next trip all that more special.

Slightly Goofy ~ seems we think much the same way. :) I've had a life full of experiences, like you, much of the a bystander...although not meaning I was not involved to some degree.

When the young teachers comment about my "life experiences" I remind them that I am OLD , so there's been lots of time for many experiences :)

Get that teasing in gear ;) My vocation is children, so let's chalk up about 30 years spent with munchkins - mostly under 5 (that even scares me:eek: )

Looks like you get to be the youngun by a few months - celebrated my 60th last Thanksgiving and enjoyed a fabulous trip to WDW in early December to celebrate pixiedust:

Linda, are you from the grand state of Indiana? Then we might be related!! ;) I'm Chicago born, my mother's from Indiana - we have relatives in Plymouth and Evansville (and maybe places I don't remember right now).

How was the game with your grandson? :)
