Glow Cubes ?

We are visiting Disney World June 6 - 12th and plan on eatting dinner at The Sci-Fi Restaurant. Someone mentioned they used glow cubes while they were there. Can someone fill me in on what that is, what it does...ect.

I think they may be referring to the cubes that look like ice but make your drink glow. I could be wrong but that's what I'm thinking.

Yep, little glowing cubes for cold drinks. They're pretty neat! Esp. at Sci-Fi where the lighting is dim.

They are plastic cubes, either red, green or blue (you pick) they have a button on the bottom that makes them either blink fast, slow or not at all. They go into any soda or water and make the drink look pretty darn cool. They are $5.00 (or around).

Our kids got them in their drinks at Coral Reef in Epcot 2 years ago and they still work! You tap one side to make it turn off and another to turn it off. Very cool...very Disney!

Thanks for the information about Glow Cubes. I like to be in the know and my kids will be thrilled when we go to the Sci-Fi Dinner and they get glowing ice cubes. Everyone on this site has been great and so helpful..

I know they sell them at 50's Prime Time Cafe. That's the only place I seen them. Sorry I couldn't be more help jen

I got a cube at the Polynesian a few years ago and it still works. About a year ago I even saw a pack of 4 for sale at Target. Maybe you could buy some before the trip and take them with you.

Just dont forget they do not come with the drink unless you ASK for them

I think all the table service Disney restaurants have them because they all offer the Blue Glowtini in honor of the year of a million dreams and that has a blue glow cube in it. We also got some red ones at the Garden Grill. HTH!

I was able to order a Prince Charming at 1900 Park and it came with a red one!!!

We got them at The Spirit of Aloha, Chef Mickey's, & Sci-Fi this past August. We still have them too!

You are right, other resturants have them to.
