glow cubes-where can you get them?

I've seen pictures of "glowtini's" with the light up "ice cubes" and saw another post that someone reqeusted the glowing ice cubes for their children's drinks. Are these only available at certain restaurants? Where have people seen them, and does it cost extra to get one for your child? (and can you take it with you when you're done?)

My son has to have one each and every time he sees one on the menu. He calls them "crystals".

Anywhere that it is on the drink menu will sell you one. I believe that they are around $4 to $5. I have had CM's give them to us for free, but I usually offset that generosity with a larger tip.

There are all kinds of colors and some of them even do different colors. It's a small past time of ours.

Got ours at Sci-Fi.

IMHO, they're ridiculously expensive for what they are, but I just wash them off and pop them in a bag for the next use.

Look for "Blue Glow Drink" on uTube and you'll get an idea of what you get for $5

I have bought them at our local grocery store, get 4 for the price of one at WDW.

At WDW we have gotten them with certain drinks at 50's PTC, Sci Fi and Coral Reef.

they're battery operated & actually have an on/off/function button on the bottom...one of mine glows slowly on & off, hit the button again it stays on, hit it again & it goes off. Another one actually changes color on the fade on/fade off function.

I have them from 1 1/2 years ago that still have a bright glow (nephew plays with them on rare twice a year visits.) It just sits in the toy drawer in between visits.

If you can find a cheaper place to buy them, I'd say do it & bring it in your purse...pop it in the kids drinks there...it can just be your Disney cubes.

I got mine in my Glowtini at the Yachtsmans Steakhouse.

Just for your info they do actually sell them in the gift shop on the Boardwalk. I'm not sure what its called but its just like a regular WDW giftshop. They sold them in a pack of 2 or 3 and they were $9.

We've gotten the "glow cubes" at Sci-FI, 50's PTC, and Chef Mickey's.

We've gotten the tinkerbelle, Capt. Hook and Lightning McQueen light ups that attach to the glass just about everywhere!

We've gotten our glow cubes at Lecelliar and the Wave. Solid blue at Lecelliar and multi colored glow cubes at the Wave. It is like a little party at the table.

oh thanks for the heads up as I didn't know they were battery operated. How about the clip-on light for the kids drink? Do they last past the first night?

They actually sell them in packs of 2 at the gift shops - I got mine at the Boardwalk gift shop. They have black Mickey's on them. I'm just going to bring them with me and stick them in whetever I'm drinking!

I actually thought they turn on when they are wet and once you dry them they turn off. I don't think there is an on/off switch on mine.

I always order a bunch and pack them. Much cheaper to get them at home and sticking them in the kid's drink once you get there!
