Gloves or mittens

Do you get your kids gloves or mittens for the winter? NOt sure what to get DS5 this year.

I think when younger they had mittens, older, gloves. Mittrens aren't 'cool', LOL, but mittens are warmer.

Mittens... they're warmer. I'm 40 and, unless I'm driving, I wear mittens.

I'm with Dan. Mittens until they're old enough to complain about the cool factor. Then they can have gloves if they want them.

I still wear mittens. I have a cool pair that are gloves and mittens. They look like cut off gloves (think 80s Madonna wear), but they have a flap you can flip over the tops of your fingers to make mittens. I love them!

At that age, mittens. At 14, I'm lucky to get dd to wear a winter coat, much less mittens!

Now me--I'm a mitten girl all the way!

Mittens unless we are going sledding or actually touching the snow, then we use gloves. When it is more than -20, we put mittens UNDER the gloves or fingers get too cold. We also put cable knit tights under socks and pants when it gets super cold LOL!
