I just received a call from the oncology office. Glo is being
sedated Tuesday morning to have bone marrow taken. We will see the
oncologist after. I'm trying to show a brave face for the kids but
in reality I'm freaking a bit. I feel like this is happening too
fast. I don't like the sense of urgency, and yet want answers
today. I really covet your prayers

Asking God to give you peace as you wait for answers. That is always hard...

I know it must be hard, but try to enjoy the weekend if you can...sending you all extra Pixie Dust and too!!!

Yay on Big Give!!! What great stuff the kids got!

I will be thinking of you guys and Glo on Tuesday, I really hope it all goes well and that there is nothing to worry about. BIG

Gloria made it through her bone marrow biopsy and aspiration like a trooper. She didn't have any issues with the sedation. Although both appointments ran quite a bit longer than I expected I am happy to report that the "initial" results don't show any obvious signs of Leukemia!!!!!! We still have to wait the full 72 hrs for confirmed results on leukemia and the whole slew of blood disorders they are testing for. But the oncologist was very reassurring. She feels bad that she may not have any answers to the cause of symptoms, but I assured her I didn't want the answers she was likely to provide! Also Glo's potassium levels were in the "critically low" range today so I am waiting to see what the docs want to do. Glo is having some pain at the site of her biopsy so she gets a free day from her back brace and is not complaining one bit!!

We also received a BIG GIVE on Friday! Sorry for the delay on posting it, it was a rough weekend for us! Pictures will be coming shortly!!

I am so glad the package made it without any problems! It's great to hear that it fits - sometimes it is hard to tell when you don't have the model in front of you. When I saw that multi-colour fabric I just thought, this would be perfect for Glo with her beautiful smile. I am happy that she approves of the choice!

I am sorry to hear about the medical appointments happening lately. Hopefully the test results will help guide the next steps in Glo's treatments. Just think - your family will be off to a very special place soon where you can forget about "real life" for a while!
