Global Warming?

They are making hydrogen powered cars, but not in bulk. Big reason is because it's more expensive right now to produce hydrogen than to sell it, thus meaning people who would sell hydrogen would lose money on it. Ethenol is the better solution right now. Same sort of power that comes from Gasoline, a lot cleaner burning. Not to mention it comes from corn so it's replenishable, unlike oil for the time being.

Wow, for someone who criticized nearly everyone's posts, ive yet to hear your hot plan for stopping this problem. Not to mention your theory on ethonal is, well astounding at that. It doesn't take a Harvard Graduate to figure out that when corn becomes more valuble, the price will go up. Simple supply and demand, the basic foundation of free trade....
as I stated in the -gasp- first reply to the thread, global warming is natural and it was here before we were, and it will be here after we're dead. We can't stop it, and we shouldnt' try to. It would destroy our planet. The industrial revolution sped up global warming to a state of at least a thousand years. what is happening now, shouldn't be. we can slow it down though. we're in transition period, and if we stop cutting trees down, and let most of the pollution that we've been creating for the past 200 years come to a screeching halt, we'll be okay.

But the difference between Corn and Crude Oil, is you can grow Corn in your backyard, then take it to the garage and make it into ethenol. With Oil, it's very diffucult to find, then if you do find it you probably can't refine it.

I have a whoooole field in my backyard. And let me tell you, you don't just grap an ear and take it to your garage to convert it.

I know that. I wasn't saying you just plow a field of corn, take it to your garage, put it in some sort of machine, and boom, you have Ethenol. I'm just saying, when was the last time you found oil? When was the last time you refined oil?

I know there is a lot more to making ethenol than people would think, but I'm just saying, it's probably easier for the average person to make ethenol than gasoline.

I do know, however, that people can make biodesiel in their garage, for incredably cheap prices at that. I know a guy who was averaging 50 cents a gallon making Biodesiel.

I don't believe in global warming. I believe in the Bible. The only thing I can think of that would be about global warming in there is

8The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and the sun was given power to scorch people with fire. Revelation 16:8

It bothers me when people chose not to believe any science because of religion.

Of course I beleive in it, there is plenty of evidence to support it.

as I have stated three or four times now, global warming isn't an issue of belief or not. What does your bible say about hurricans or tsunamis or earthquakes or blizzards? What does it say about clouds? Tables? Flowers? Necklaces? Lightbulbs? What about electricity?

I'm almost positive that if it says anything about any of those, it doesn't say a whole lot about it. But those all exist.

Refusing to believe in something that is real and that is happening just because a religious text doesn't mention it is pretty strange to be totally honest with you. There is a whole lot the bible doesn't mention that is real.

Maimonides tried to explain why science and religion could coexist. Religion is a faith, and technically science was to prove if that 'faith' was truly real. But a 'faith' is a blind trust in something that can't be proved. Science evolved into what we know today. Science still challenges religion. The Bible doesn't point to or deny global warming.

I think that religion and Science are not mutually exclusive, as in they can coexist.

The bible is filled with symbolisim, it's incredible how much of it is in the bible. Any religious person can identify with that. That quote you took from the bible isn't shown in full context...is it safe to guess that possibly that quote is telling you, as the reader, that global warming does exist? :confused3

hmm...I'll post it later! I'll have to think about my wording for this one...LOL

I TOTALLY agree with you here. It's one thing for Bible vs. Science for Creationism vs. Evolutionism (which I am NOT about to start a fight over, just my example) where it's the entire basis of what you believe vs. a scientific theory but to say that something that is PROVEN is wrong is rediculous. I may not believe in keyboards but I sure as s^*t am getting the letters on the screen somehow.

Thanks for all the replies! I AGREE WITH ALL OF YOU! especially that we arn't believe doing any thing about it!
