Is it okay to take glo sticks on the plane, preferably in hold luggage, or is this likely to cause a security problem? I have loads left from DD's birthday party and thought of taking them with. She could then share some with other children in the parks at night.

I had Glow Sticks in our hold luggage for MNSSHP this year, and as far as I could tell they hadn't been opened when we got to WDW.

I wouldn't hesitate in travelling with them. :)

Wow, you're fast Torsie! :) Thanks. I guess I will go for it then.

We took a big bag of glo sticks out last October that we had bought from Costco - did save us lots of money when it came to the night shows and kept the kids entertained while we were waiting! Didn't have any problems on the plane, there or back!

I am going to take the ones we have left again this year!:rotfl:

i took glosticks in hold luggage for our wedding dessert party with no problems

We have taken them too no problem!

I have two tubes already packed too! :rotfl: my Sister has previously flown with glosticks in her luggage without any problems

Thanks everyone. I am not opposed to having random/specific security searches - but would rather avoid having a case opened unnecessarily. I end up spending a small fortune on the darn things in the parks. Then the next night we don't have it with us and end up buying another one .....
