Well there is me 27 and my now Fiancee 32.
We went for 3 days 2 nights via Eurostar at the Cheyenne and the weather before we left was due to be showers and thunderstorms!
We got up nice and early on Tuesday to catch the train into London for our Direct DLP Train at 9.58
We managed to get there nice and relaxed and picked our tickets up from the Eurostar office ( my tickets had been lost in the post apparently!)
We quickly made the goodie puchases from M&S and then headed off to check in, amazingly our train was already there and we were allowed to board 40 minutes before departure. So we headed up to our train
We got a nice space for our suitcase and sat down pateinetly waiting for our little break to really get going. Soon after we set off on time and were on our way.
We had a nice journey there and sampled their pannini's which were quite nice. As our arrival time was imminent we decided to go and get our case ready and sit on the fold down chairs in the exit cabin. This worked well as we pulled up in 10 minutes and were first out of the train and up to the buses. We could see our bus was there waiting the kind driver waited for us before heading immediately off to our destination. The Cheyenne, our first DLP onsite hotel break.
We got our keys nice and efficently, picked our breakfast times including a 9.45 GMFB and then headed off to our Ranch House, Butch Cassidy. This was when it dawned on us how big it was!
Our room was lovely and the cowboy theme really made us smile and the view great and worth being at the far end away from the parks.
We didn't want to waste any time and so headed off to the parks, we chose to go to the Studios first as it has more of the thrill rides for us there. We did the obligatory ToT a few times and then headed off to RnR. We walked onto both of these so we made the most of it while we could and then headed off to queue for Crush.
We then took a walk over to the pink palace and then had a nice walk along main street. By then the weather had really turned nice so we admired the newly decorated castle.
After this we had a nice walk around the park and went on Star Wars which we missed last time and then went to Indy, however it was only open between 12 and 6 which i found strange so we missed this and did thunder mountain.
The parks then closed so we headed back to the Cheyenne walking along the river and had dinner in Chucks Wagon.
This buffet i found really nice, me and my veggie gf both tucked in and found plenty to eat.
Ribs, chicken, pizza, pasta, meatballs, sausages, pork, salad cart, jacket potatoes, rolls. This all was very nice and set us up nicley for desert, which i have to say was one of the best things I have ever had. These were all buffet style too and the chocolate mouse cake was incredible. We realltycouldn't recomend it highly enough to do it justice.
We then got changed and went for a walk around the village.
We looked in lots of shops and had a drink before heading off for a walk around the lake. By then it had got dark so all the hotels were lit up and village brightly shimmering.
After having such a good day and a lovely evening, and by chance Cassie choosing a quite bench looking out over the village to have a rest on I decided the time was right and after have a cuddle and chat on the bench I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me.
After a very shocked and embarressed reaction of Cass trying to pull me up and saying get up get up get up! She said yes
I took a picture of the very place the next day from the other side of the lake. it's the bench in the middle of the pic, with the bridge and NPB to the right and Sequoia Lodge to the left.
We then had another little walk around and along the river before we settled down for the night ready for the next day and our GMFB as an engaged couple! The day and weather really couldn't of gone better
