Honey, I'm Home! Tuesday, June 10th:
On Tuesday afternoon, I got on Southwest to go back home to Baltimore.
The saddest part about comming home, post-9/11, is that when you get off the plane, there's no one to meet you. Then, with how parking and security is, whomever is picking you up is forced to circle the airport 50 times till you come out.
Well imagine my surprise when my brother was standing at the end of the walkway right by baggage claim!

I was sooo excited! There I was in my "I survived Expedition Everest" shirt, with my birthday button on, laughing and smiling at baggage claim! So of course I gave him a quick rundown of the whole trip while waiting for the luggage to come.
Then, as we were walking to the car, what did he spot? An arcade game combo that included MILLIPEDE!!!! I dug all through my pokets for quarters. And I found just enough for us to play. My brother said that I was playing as if I've been doing it EVERYDAY! It was GREAT! Of course I beat him VERY badly!
When we pulled up in front of my house, I noticed something strange . . . I kept looking and this is what I saw . . .
I said "OH thank you!!! It looks great"! My brother said, "Yes, it does, but I can't take credit for it". I nearly jumped through the door's window to get to the porch. . .
Oh my Goodness! I felt like a Princess! This was better than the most sappiest Lifetime movie I've ever seen!
Now I knew that my Man DID miss me! Awwww . . .
(Since he works 3rd shift, he was home alseep when I came back - and he lives on the other side of town. It would be another day or two before I'd get to see him.)
Shot of the balloons . . .
Also on the porch, was another delievery from two of my Aunts:
Isn't that cute! Flowers in a cup and saucer, that mimicks the Old Country Roses pattern!
After getting everything in the house, I started letting everyone know that I was home. A few of my friends were going to come by, or meet up the street for dinner. Of course, since my flight was delayed, that messed things up a bit. One of my friends was already out and about, so she went over to the Applebees to meet us. Shortly after I talked to her, my girlfirend Fee came over.
As we were getting in the car, one of my neighbors had just parked her car and was walking towards her house. So I told her to come on with us! So she jumped in the car.
After we got to Applebees, MeMom called!!!!! Hey MOM!!!

Then my friend Amy called. She'd just gotten off the train from work, and said she'd be on her way!
We had a GREAT time! Originally, I wanted to eat at a "nice" restaurant, but this was a Tuesday evening when everyone was just getting off of work. So I just chose to go right up the street. I thanked them all so much for comming. After being at WDW having sooo much fun, I could NOT come home to an empty house on my birthday! NO WAY!
Why my brother likes to make faces, I don't know. So after he made the face below, I told him that this would be posted on DISboards!
All together, there were six of us!
While we were there, they told me that I'd missed a heat wave. The whole time I was gone, the heat was oppressive. One day, it was over 100 degrees. Which is why, I found later, my bf had a plant arrangement delievered insted of flowers so they wouldn't die.
After dinner, my brother came in, and I showed him all the pics and some of the video clips. It was fun to have someone to relive the trip with! I also had a chance to show him of the things I bought.
That night, I went to sleep very happy! This was definetly one of the best birthdays ever! BUT, I wished that I could see/talk to my bf. So I just left him a message GUSHING about how much I liked what he did for me!
The next day, I awoke with hardly any voice! I sounded like a 13yr old boy whose voice was changing!
When the mail came, I got another package. This time from DISer MainStMandy!
The Dino and the pin is in reference to a conversation we had prior to riding Dinosaur in December. Here's what I wrote about that in the trip report:
As we were going in, I asked Amanda if she remembered when this ride was called "Countdown To Extinction". She said that she had, and that they changed the name because Disney made a movie called "Dinosaur". Well, I was really racking my brain trying to remember it, but couldn't. So I asked her if it was animated. Through much laughter, Amanda said,
"No Glenda, they used REAL dinosaurs". I CRACKED up!!! But what I meant was, if it was computer generated with real actors, or a cartoon. I think she said it was a cartoon. But who cares, this was the funniest part of our time together!
This ride was so much fun. But unfortunantly, I ended up sitting on the end by the scary dino at the end. So Amanda ended up being a witness to the fact that I have exceeded my use of profanity for all of 2007, and possibly, January of 2008.
(Hopefully it was too loud in the ride for Jesus to hear me)
This time I had the guts to take a pic of the monitor, since so many other DISers had done it . . .
So as you can see, her gift REALLY cracked me up!
I was off from work for the rest of the week! Finally on Thursday night, I got to see my Sweetie!!! We hung out for the rest of the weekend, and had a great dinner at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse!
This was TRULLY a WONDERFUL birthday! Again, I have to thank
MadiMouse and her husband for suggesting this trip. I never would've thought that I would spend my bday at my favorite place! Thanks so much for spending your first time away from your Husband and baby with me!
Snowbell and LaMagique, thanks for meeting us, and adding a huge amount of pixie dust to our trip! I really hope that we can meet up again soon! Lastly, but not CERTAINLY not least,
My DISer family! You all have NO IDEA how much I appreciate you! Thank you for giving me the courage to take solo trips, meet new people, and making my Disney vacations 100% better than ever!
DISers, I hope that you've enjoyed my report! My next trip is September 6-13th @ AKL with my Mother!
IF I do another report, it will be then!
Smooches!!!!
