Glee!!!!!!

5 musical numbers!!!!! Loved this episode - the songs and heavy on Sue Sylvester. Still really hate the fake pregnant wife story. Just don't see how much longer they can continue with this story line. Thought Quinn would have lost the baby in a Cheerios accident.:happytv:

Hope this isn't considered a spoiler,

But has anyone else looked at the songs listed for the Season 1 album? Looks like we have Say a Little Prayer and DEFYING GRAVITY coming up. Seriously...our little Mini-Menzel singing DG is about as good as I could have wished for on this show (except a little more skin a couple of the football players).

Can't wait to see how this season ends...hopefully we can get rid of the stupid pretend pregnacy storyline. So bored with it.

Bought the CD yesterday. LOVE IT!

"Say a Little Prayer" was from episode two or three. It's the song Quinn and the other Cheerios used to audition for the Glee Club.

I have to say that I'm bummed that "Last Name", "Rehab", "Mercy", and the "It's My Live/Confessions" and "Halo/Walking on Sunshine" mash-ups aren't included on the disc, and aren't slated to be on volume two either. Those were some great numbers!

I am thrilled that the Neil Diamond cover by Mark Salling (Puck) is included though. As well as Jayma Mays singing "I Could Have Danced All Night" (On the Target "extra tracks" version). Love both of them.

Oh, and by the way. Defying Gravity is a duet. It's Lea Michelle (Rachel) and Chris Colfer (Kurt). The arrangement is a bit slower and the delivery a bit softer. I really like it.

I dare anybody to listen to the CD and not be instantly transformed into a big ol' dancing queen.

IT IS THAT GOOD!

TRIPLE LOVE IT!

I agree! I was dancing while driving in my Jeep. (Might not be the safest thing, but it sure was fun.) I really like "Leaving on a Jet Plane". His voice is so sweet and sincere.

Oh, I did feel old while listening to GLEE with my DD because she wondered how I knew all the words to the songs on our new CD. :rotfl2:

Tonight was the BEST EVER!!! I love the relationship between Curt and his father. It is beautiful. I was absolutely crying!! Can't wait until next week.

I loved last nights episode and I agree the relationship between Curt and his father is so great to watch. Made me all gushy inside.

I've downloaded all of the Glee songs now. The full album vol 1 lacks about 6 songs I think. Not all are included. So great that they put out seperate versions of Defying Gravity

Glee was simply awesome last night!!!! Great story lines for all (loved the tender side to Sue) and once again no fake pregnant wife!:happytv:

We fired up the ole' DVR and caught up on Glee last night.

Wow. What a great episode.

Loved Artie's Dancing With Myself number (which I knew I would, I've had the Glee CD in my player for over a week and haven't taken it out).

And the heartbreak on his face when Tina told him that she faked her stutter. I choked up.

And then I choked up again when Kurt told his dad that he'd thrown the audition to protect him.

And then Sue visited her sister and I just lost it.

BEST. EPISODE. EVER!

And loved the Proud Mary number in wheelchairs!

The only thing that could have made this episode better is if Puck had been naked!

We watched it last night also, I thought is was the best episode so far!

We cried throughout the episode. I loved when Sue wen to visit her sister and started reading Little Red Riding Hood!!

I loved when Sue wen to visit her sister and started reading Little Red Riding Hood!!

Here's what they had to say about that part on AfterElton.com

"I was especially impressed the show managed to so effectively humanize Sue without being patronizing to folks with Down's Syndrome."

And that pretty much nailed it.

I also loved it when they pointed out that, true to one of the themes of this week's show, many of the characters took chances this week. In other words, several of them were "defying gravity".

Just awesome.

Okay, while not as strong as last week's episode, I have to say, I laughed out loud at Emma and Rachel both mooning over Will as he sang "Don't Stand/Young Girl". :rotfl2:

Wow! So many songs last night! Good episode (and minimal wife in it). Loved "lean on me" number! Only problem - where was Sue?:happytv:

Anyone else bothered by the changes in "Young Girl" lyrics to fit the plot? I adore the show but this irritated me.

I didn't think last night was as good as last week, but I still really liked it. It was causing me to reflect on how I would react to things as a mom. Like when Finn told his mom about the baby (really, how long can this go on with him believing he fathered that baby...) and she was supportive, but shedding quiet tears.

I was laughing out loud when Shu was singing to Emma and Rachel. Simply because I was mooning over him, too!

Rob, I could enjoy Puck more if he would get a new haircut. I really hate the mohawk! It is going to get interesting since he revealed he is the father.

I didn't even notice! :lmao:

Honestly, even if I had noticed, it wouldn't have bothered me. Sometimes a little artistic license is to be needed.
