Glasses on rides

Most rides at Disney aren't "crazy" enough to warrant worrying about my glasses, but I can't recall what I did years ago on ToT. Those of you with glasses, how do you handle this ride? I know that the safest bet is to hide them away, but then I wouldn't see anything!

I wear a glasses strap on the big coasters at Universal, Sea World, Busch Gardens, etc but not on any ride at Disney - including ToT and RnRC.

I wear my eyeglasses on all rides and have never lost them.

Agree with others. Never had any problem with glasses in Disney rides. Wear a strap at every other amusement park but not Disney

I wear glasses on all rides and they've never even come close to coming off.

The only problem I had with my glasses coming off was on Mission Space. When the shoulder restraints popped off at the end of the ride, one of the sides brushed my glasses and took them off my head. Not sure how that happened.

Other than that, no problems.

I wear glasses on all rides :) So that I can see. LOL no problems. I do believe I have taken them off also on RnRC.

Another glasses wearer here. No problems on any ride. I even kept them on for RnR.

I'm usually in contacts at Disney, but BF wears glasses and has not had any issues on any rides with them staying on. We ride pretty much all the thrill rides.

I used to use a strap but I forgot it once and had no issues with my glasses. As long as they fit your face right then they should not go flying off on any Disney rides, even if you are supposed to "hold on to your hats and glasses because this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!" I wear mine with no problems. I'd probably be more nervous about it at Universal with some of their rides, but actually, I still doubt it'd be a real problem.

Wear a strap just in case and you will not have to worry about them. Have fun!

Second this while I know they won't fall off I still worry. Has to do with a incident on the Big Bad Wolf at Bush Garden's Williamsburg and losing a lens.

My Mother lost her glasses on a ride similar to Kai River Rapids. Washed them right off her face.

I have only had one problem with glasses at WDW. A cast member asked me if I wanted to stow them in the pouch on BTMRR and even after riding that ride about a million times before and never worrying about it I did stow them in the pouch. Then DS4 and I rode and I promptly left them in the pouch. I guess they are still riding around to this day :rolleyes1

I wear a strap on mine so that I don't spend my whole time worrying about my glasses falling off. :D

I've worn mine on every attraction and never had a problem, but I do follow two important rules:
1) Always keep your face forward. This way any wind will push your glasses onto your face and help keep them in place.
2) Everyone in the car with me has to keep their hands down. I don't want someone with with hands up in the air suddenly have their hands come over into my face and knock my glasses off when we go around a sharp turn.

I wear my glasses on TOT and have never felt like they were going to fall off.

The only ride at WDW (other than water rides) that I take my glasses off for is RNRC.
I think that they would stay on and would definitely stay on if i used my sports security strap BUT with the way the over the shoulder restraint is I often bump the sides of my head and feel that would be very uncomfortable with glasses on.
I bring my glasses case when i go to HS to store them in while I"m on that ride.
