My son (12) and I are considering going to DC next July. He is a great swimmer (swim competitively) and I am a non-swimmer. I have read other threads that have convinced me that I will be OK as a non-swimmer (the water is never over your head). I was also glad to read that wet suits etc come in larger sizes. My only concern remaining is that both my son and I are "blind" without our glasses. Does anyone else have that problem? It won't be any fun if the whole day everything is blurry. Can you wear your glasses under your mask. (BTW, contacts aren't an option for us). My son does have optical goggles that he wears when racing - can he wear those? Any help is appreciated.
