Just a ? about the glass slipper desserts I keep hearing about. I know you can get them at the GF, but can you get them at any other restaurant? I would really like to get one! I'm not staying at the GF though, can anyone go there just to eat? I'm also on a budget & I know the GF is $$$, is there an inexpensive way of eating there? Just one more ? Is there any such thing as a dessert in an actual "Glass" slipper? That would be really cool! Then you would actually be able to keep the glass slipper!! Sorry I asked so many questions! I just love anything about Cinderella & Disney!! Thanks a lot! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

The Cinderella slipper desserts are only served at the GF. It has something to do with the fillyng and temperature that they can't go anywher eelse or be taken to go. You can eat at the GF even if you are not staying there of course. If you do not have the kinda money for a nice sit down meal there then my suggestion would be to make a ps for the afternoon tea at the garden view lounge. They start ps at 2:00 and i think until like 4 or something. You can order alacarte items if you want or only have the slippers and drinks. It is very relaxing there and I have heard great things. Also I don't know of an actual glass slipper but at Cinderella's Royal Table in the castle they have a drink called a bibbidy bobbty brew(sp) where you get to keep the glass ( a clean one of course) after your meal. I'll be in disney not much after you and i can't wait. I'm having the slippers at the tea.

P.S. If you do a search on here you will find the pic and it is absoulty beautifyl, and oh they cost $8.00

Actually, you can pre-order the Slipper dessert at the CG for dessert. It was offered to me as a choice when I called to arrange for a special dessert for our anniversary dinner. As you can see in my sig pic, we opted for the Mickey.

Thats great to know. I might cancle my tea as that was the main reason we were going and have it at the cf since we will be dining there anyways.

Thanks everyone for responding. I'm definately thinking about doing the afternoon Tea at GF....just so I can sample that delisious looking dessert!

In order to get this special drink do you have to eat there? I would really love to have a glass slipper to keep! (Is it really a glass slipper?!)

Thanks again everyone!

It's not an actual slipper (sorry i think i forgot to mention that lol) it's just a glass. I don't have one but I think it has a pic of the castle and the name on it. I am not sure if you can get it without eating there but I would call and ask or just go there and ask at the podium. As far as I know ( our first time eating there will be this sept) they do not have anywhere to walk up like a bar or anything to order drinks. I have heard some mention of people looking and hearing of a dessert that did come in a glass slipper but I don't know if thats true or where to get one.

The price just went up to $14.

There is another thread on this subject if you do a search...it shouldn't be too far down as I read this yesterday.

edited to add that I found the other thread

Glass slipper price increase thread

It's on the last page.

What a bummer.:(
