Just a Hello! to everyone here. I've read a few threads over the past few days as I've been planning my trip. It's been SO helpful. And, I finally got a few minutes to register. I'm really excited to start participating... everyone seems so helpful and sincere.

Any tips for a newbie?

Welcome to the DIS!!! It's very easy to get overwhelmed because there's so much informationand so many things to think about.

I say, decide when you're going, resort and tickets 1st.
Different times of year are busier. Keep the temperature in mind, it can get hot in the summer throught September, Parks are more crowded during the summer and major holidays. Do you want to do WDW at Christmas all decked out, or is swimming or school schedules more important.

Look at pictures of the resort and pricing. Decide if you want park hopping tickets (I would advise it, one park can get to busy and you can hop over to another.) Plus options-entry into the water parks, pleasure Island.

Then think about dining. Do you want the Dining Plan, or would you rather not? Remember some times of the year can be busier than others and you want to make any must do dinner, tour or packages (Candlelight Processional, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Paty, the Halloween parties) ASAP. (I haven't been in a couple of years so check the website for exact booking date guidekines)

ANd be forewarned...the DIS can be addicting. Happy planning!!!
