I live in SD and I can finally say the snow is finally gone from the yard. This winter we had a lot of snow. Wondering if anyone is glad to have the snow gone and if they have any fun pictures from this past winter.

House across the street the week before xmas 09. At the end of the xmas storm you couldn't see the livingroom window due to the drift.

This was last month here in Nevada and it was only one day's worth of snow. We had 72 degrees Wednesday during the day and then it snowed Wednesday night. I'm tired of snow this year. Predictions of more this week.

I, too, live in SD and was SOOOOOOO happy that the snow left! We got WAYYYY too much of it this year! It melted a little too quickly for us though, because our sump pump has been having to run NON STOP for the past two weeks now! BUT, I shouldn't complain. At least it's working. SOOO happy to see grass and not have ice and snow!

Are you in the northern part of SD where they are having lots of flooding problems? It melted slowly here but only small piles here and there (but not in my yard :woohoo:)

no- nothing major here, just the 'ground defrosting' into our sump hole. It happened a lot two years ago too, but not so much last year. I've not heard our sump pump run this much- we've not even had any snow or rain this entire week.

Our yard is low...and thanks to our 'great neighbors' on two sides of us building their yard up higher than ours when they put in landscape, everything from their yard drains into ours. We bought this house after the landscape was already put in. The only time we have a problem with it is if we get tons of snow and it melts fast in the spring. It's never caused us enough of a problem to actually make us think about spending all the money to 're-landscape'...so we've just let it be. It'll be done soon!

Same was in my country too. I am happy too for better weather so I can go out and throw ball into basket ;)
