Glad I Purchased My Airfare for Dec 05

I purchased my airfare for 7 people in Dec with Airtran Airlines a few days ago. I'm glad I did. The airfare to WDW increased $40 per ticket on the way down, and $140 per ticket on the way back! Man am I glad I bit the bullet and bought my airfare. I think fuel prices are driving airfare up, way up. I would normally would wait 3 months out before purchasing, but with oil futures at record highs, I decided to purchase now. We'll have to wait and see if the airfare comes back down.

I bought my airfare for December in early February.....about $228 per ticket on Delta. The lowest I've seen it since is $398, the highest was over $600, and it's been generally hovering around $458.

In fact, none of the airlines I've been checking have been below $400.

I also have flights this summer to Wichita, Minneapolis, and Las Vegas. All of my flights have gone way up since I purchased them.

Me too..I have never had to purchase air before to WDW (we always drive from NY). I early March I got 5 seats for $155 on Song, now they are $244 for the same flight last time I checked. Whew....
