That was supposed to say Fooey. Auto correct! I have checked into the dessert reservation for the fireworks. It does look pretty wonderful. Christopher also LOVES to eat. Especially cookies or the Disney rice Krispy treats. We have made many trips to the snack places at the MK looking for them. We try to limit him, but this is a dream trip!

I have a million (maybe less!) questions about posting properly. I started this thread, but realized I had it in the wrong category. I wanted to post in the Wish Trippers section. Although our trip is not from Make a Wish it is from Dreams Come True which is our local wish granting organization. So, I "posted" in the wish trippers area, but I guess I did not start a thread. I am so confused! Also, Madeline, said she liked using smilies. No one's smilies are showing up and I don't see an option to use them. Another suggestion was to add a signature. I thought I did that (thank you again, Madeline! ) but I don't think it is showing up. I am feeling a little (or a lot!) incompetent! I am enjoying this so much! and want to do things properly!

My friend went on a GKTW trip after her daughter went through Leukemia. Not to be crass and talk money...BUT everything was covered: character dining, park tickets, a rental car to get to the parks and spending money. I would talk to them about this. It is not an uncommon question. My friend was so sure they would end up spending an arm and a leg for the fun extras so she just asked what the trip included and what they would need to cover. the answer was clearly given. They spent nothing.
They had a special ride pass that allowed tem to go to the front of ride and character meet and greet lines. Don't feel bad about this at all (she did but was told it is part of the wish).
They all said it was a magical trip and like you said about your other kids, ALL of the family enjoyed it after the treatments they had completed.
I have heard great things about the dessert party, not sure on the cost, but the view amazing. We like to stand on the bridge right before entering Tommorrowland for the fireworks. The view is wonderful.
If your son likes Winnie-the Pooh I suggest Crystal Palace in the MK for breakfast - It is all Pooh Characters.
Mickey is everywhere but if you want a great character meal for that we love Chef Mickey's at the (Mickey, Donald, Minnie, Goofy & Pluto in chef gear!)

Thank you for responding! We have spoken with our wish granting organization but have not gotten a lot of answers. We are just so excited for this opportunity! GKTW sounds so amazing. Thank you for all the advice. I am asking each child what they want to do, where they want to eat, etc. Each answer is VERY different!!

That's a great idea!! Getting everyone's wish list together will help you to plan the trip. Right away we knew we couldn't do it all, so we focused on things we had never done before. We skipped the things at Disney and Universal that we had done in California, in favor of getting to see new things!!
What are the #1 can't miss things, the kids are looking forward too?!

We have been to the MK many times. As a young child I lived in Orlando when Disney was new. My oldest sister worked there and would take me very often. I loved it then and love it now. I just love anything Disney. My husband and I went to Universal when it first opened, but have not been since. I am a big Harry Potter fan, so need to got here. I haven't been to Sea World since the mid 70's, so I am just excited to see that too. Enough selfishness about me! Christopher will be all about the MK. (That's why we always go there!). I am hoping to open his eyes to the rest of the "World" and the other parks. He loves Barney and Dr. Seuss so I hope that will make Universal a hit. Toy Story is another favorite, so Toy Story mania is a must. My husband loves Roller Coasters, so that will be easily taken care off! Elizabeth is a huge Harry Potter fan. Phillip loves Jurassic Park so we have to go there. He is also excited about unlimited ice cream. That was the first thing he told his grandma! We are also considering Aquatica. They have never been to a large water park and they love to swim. How does that work? I get so excited when I talk about it!

Christopher has decided what he wants to be for Halloween! Now, for most, this would not be a big deal, but Christopher has never asked for a costume before. I don't know what brought it on, but he started bringing out some Halloween decorations and saying "pumpkin"! He wants to be a "Yo Ho". If you don't speak Christopher, that means a pirate! So, since I am always thinking about this trip, I researched and saw the Pirates League! Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? I don't know how much he would go for the makeup, but getting to become a pirate at Disney World, might just be something he would love. Since Christopher has been mostly non verbal most of his life, his talking is very exciting, but asking for something is HUGE! I am so excited I want to take him right now!

Thank you for replying... and even double replying! I can't express how much it means! Every time I get an email saying I have a response, I can not wait to read it! I don't know where to post, so sometimes I do it in both. I think this may be the ticket for Christopher! He is so excited about Halloween and his costume, that becoming a pirate at his favorite place would just send him over the moon! Thank you again for responding!!

5 weeks from today we will be there! I am so excited! Everyone is giving me favorites! Has anyone eaten at the Sci-Fi diner? Phillip thought it sounded awesome! Also, we will be there for our anniversary . We are going out to lunch with the family (my in laws are joining us that day) but thought that after the evening we would go out later in the evening. Well, I heard from our Dream Assistant and it wasn't good news. There are no openings at the Pirate's League during our trip. She is going to try someone at GKTW to see if they can work it out, so here's hoping. Hopefully everyone's countdown calendar will be ready this weekend. We leave 32 days from today! Even if the Pirate's League doesn't work out, this trip is a true gift and we are going to enjoy every moment! Thank you all for all the support!
