Giving trip as a gift....does the name on the CC have to be present on the trip?

If you give a Disney trip as a gift, can you book the room in their name and use a Credit Card in someone else's name? I know some places want the actual card at check in.
Just making sure the person's name on the CC does not have to physically be present on the trip.

It doesn't matter. I often book using my cc for other people.
