Giving Things to the Characters

We have a 3yo dd who loves both Cinderella and Mickey and loves coloring pictures for them. What is Disney's policy/procedure for characters accepting things from kids, ie. a picture that was specially colored for them? If we go to meet them (ex. in Toontown, Chef Mickey's etc.) will they accept a picture from her? If not, we want to avoid the situation where the Character wouldn't take it from her.

I gave Valentine's cards to Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable when I met them last month. I even gave Ron one to give to Rufus.

I'm guessing Cinderella and Mickey would have to hand the picture over to their greeter (they wouldn't want to have to hold it), but I'm sure your daughter wouldn't be the first to give them something.

My DS gave Mickey a flower he had picked when we were at the Toontown Fair and Mickey held the flower, made a big deal over the flower, took a picture of himself and my DS with the flower and was still holding it when we left. I'm sure a CM took it away as soon as we were out of sight. But it was terribly sweet nontheless!

When dd was in kindergarten, we went to Disneyland. Her teacher was another Disney fanatic and had the class write a letter to Mickey that they all signed and included the school name, their class, and address. About a week after we got back, Mickey had sent a letter, stickers, and autographed pictures to dd's class. :teeth:

So, yeah, they take items from kids. In fact, Mickey sat down at a table and had dd open the envelope for him and we read him the letter right then and there. If you're comfortable with it, put a return address label on the picture, too. Your dd might get a surprise when she gets home.

I've seen people give the characters presents before... I don't know if they keep them or not?

The cutest was when a Japanese lady who didn't really speak English was in line to see Tigger. She had a small keychain Tigger that was dressed up in a Kimono and she gave it to him. Tigger made a big deal about it, and then the handler came up and told them he'd hold it for Tigger. The Japanese lady was so cute, she was SO excited to met Tigger, she was bouncing around with him.

I've read someone's post here who knows one of the princesses personally. She posted that the princesses entire refridgerator was covered with pictures colored by her little fans. I say bring em on! :thumbsup2
