Giving DL one more shot!

Okay so after our last trip in Oct. when we didn't have that good of a time, I have had this anti-Disney feeling, and it is making me feel weird because I have loved DL my whole life.. So anyway my ds asked the other night if we could go to DL right now. And I replied no we will go next year, so after he fell asleep I was thinking in my head why do I feel this way?

So I got on the computer and booked a week long trip for ds and I. Hopefully we will have a better time. I told ds when he woke up and he of course was so happy!!

So we leave tomorrow and will be back Wednesday.

I am hoping to have that love relationship back with DL

My dh is so happy he doesn't have to go, lol!

Awesome! I was hoping that last trip (with that idiot who knocked into your son and broke the Buzz cup) would not sour you on DLR forever! I only wish you were going to be there at least until the 21st, when the IASWH opens up and ALL the holiday decorations are up in full swing (now, they are going up slowly, a little at a time!)! But I am confident you will get some of the magic back and that you will have a much better time than the last one!

It is supposed to be super hot in the next few days, though ('90s) - so be careful out there in the sun!

Cool I hope this time is really fun. Since I have been back i have felt the same way. Not excited for some reason. This is only my third post since i've been back. I had fun but i just got worn out I guess. My husband doesnt even want o go back next year. Anyways... I really hope you have fun and your son have lots of fun. Lucky Lucky

Oh I am hoping we will get to see some Christmas decorations, I can't believe I just booked a trip in the middle of the night without planning or discussing with dh. I just gave myself enough time to run to the store and get things to pack.

That is probably the best way to do it - in a hot minute without a second to think twice about it!!! If you had given yourself too much time to ponder it, you probably would have decided against going right now. Well, with any luck, MAYBE the IASWH will open a couple of days early and you can catch it before you leave. That is so beautiful to see at night. It will be weird, though. As you said, you will see some Christmas decorations here and there, and more are going up each day, I guess, but it will be like 95 degrees!!! I want to see holiday decorations with holiday weather - or at least COOL weather so it SEEMS Christmasy! This summer in November thing is crazy!

Very excited for you and DS.

Take in the Park. What I mean by this is: Don't have a checklist and feel you have to go go go go go go go. You will miss the magic.

Enjoy the decorations that are up. Notice the little Disney details that are everywhere. Take time to watch a parade, a show, what not. Remember that there is SOOOOO much more there than just the rides. Cherish a fun trip with your son as opposed to setting out to conquer Disneyland and I think you will find the Disney bug biting at your heels as you leave at the end of your trip.

I know what you mean. The last time we went there, I got food poisoning or something like that and spent an entire day stuck in the hotel room. It sort of soured the trip for me. That was in August and I am contemplating trying to return in April (DH wants to go somewhere new like SF).
