If you give a referral to somebody what info does that person need? Also how do you find out if someone did use you as a referral. Does the guide call you? I would imagine they need to get in touch with you somehow about the referral bonuses, right?
Thanks!

All the prospective buyer needs is your first and last name. Once they mention your name you will get a letter from DVC thanking you for introducing the prospective member. Once they close then you will get a letter from DVC with a rewards certificate that you can then choose your reward. No one from DVC is going to call you. You should ask the prospective buyer to keep you informed of their progress.

It helps if they know the city you're from. I knew the first and last name of my reference, but I had to at least get "Chicago area" in there for them to confirm that it was the right person. And my reference has a fairly unusual name.

We bought last month and used a referral. They wanted first and last name as well as where the person was from. I told my guide I did not know where the person was from since we met them in WDW, they let it go and said "No problem".

I think it would only benefit you to let the referral know where you're from.

P.S. Thank your son for me and tell him I pray for him every day!!!

Thanks for the help! And thank you Parkhopper. Things like that mean alot to the families!

I would recommend getting the name of the person you referred as I had 2 recently that I knew used my name and my had my guide look them up. My name was not attached to either.

Luckily, I still had their email saved which I forwarded to my guide and I just received my thank you notes from DVC.

I told my guide from now on I am sending her an email with the name of the propective buyer so she can track it.
