We've had a tent site booked for sometime for this December and have decided to bite the bullet and cancel. We really wanted a full hookup or bigger to accommodate a rented camper and haven't been able to secure one. We simply left it too late to book. This along with my dd getting her first part time job has convinced us to cancel December and rebook for June/July 2019.

We are disappointed that the trip has been delayed but happy that we've been able to get a full hookup for this time. We are also looking forward to getting back for July 4. Coming from Australia, we really enjoyed this last time.

So site is booked and camper is now booked and paid for. The countdown begins.

We have had to cancel twice now, so I understand completely- but 6 months goes super fast

I wanted to "upgrade" our tent site to a camper site so we can upgrade our popup, but for now we are planning on popup camping, but I keep checking back every few days to see if a full site has opened up.

I'm sure it will just fly by. By the time Christmas is over, we will be booking ADR's. :) And it means we have our summer at home and then head over for yours. Bonus. :) With 6 adult size people, not all our family, I think we would have struggled in a popup. And finding one to rent was not easy. We found two but one was already booked and the other a little small.

Yes unfortunately last minute doesn't work for us. It's such a lot of planning to get there. The house full of animals doesn't help. :) They take heaps of organisation. Maybe in the future it's something we could look at doing.

Coming from Australia really does put a crimp in plans but at the 30 days mark, there will be openings. There are too many site hoarders that drive me nuts and they usually start dropping their 'reservations' at around the 30 day mark, at this point in time is when packages are needed to be paid in full and many people realize that they just cannot do Disney as hoped and cancel as well.

My December reservation is a total of 5 different reservations, because I had to piece it together little by little and it was a pain but I finally got all I wanted and had Disney combine it all into 1. We added on the Fort to our trip at the last minute and I had to piece it all together by checking daily and regularly throughout the day.

I expected that would happen. I just couldn't wait any longer unfortunately. Airfares were increasing in price. I must have checked almost everyday since earlier in the year. I'm happy with June/July though. We had a great time last time at that time of year. It was hard letting go of my ADR's that I'd worked so hard to get but I'll enjoy doing it all again. :)
