Given these preferences, 10/27 or 10/29 for MNSSHP?

Okay, folks, I have not bought my party tickets yet, but we were hoping to go on 10/29. I have heard the complaints of extreme overcrowding before (same story in previous years) and our family is fairly prepared for it. Luckily, the big priority for my kiddos is to see and be seen in costumes. They LOVE dressing up and seeing everyone else dress up more than anything.

I'm a tad worried about crowds, but mostly our priorities are, in this order:

1) dressing up and seeing the most dressed up people
2) candy, candy, candy
3) Parade/fireworks
4) rides

Characters are not a priority. We are not doing the parks this year because this is a very quick trip just to squeeze in some Halloween.

With that in mind, which party should we attend? Right now our flight departs on 10/28, so if we did 10/27 we would have to switch our flights and pay a little extra in frequent flyer miles.

Any suggestions? I am guessing crowd differences will be negligible between these two days, but I thought I would ask anyway.

My first thought was the Tues might be less crowded. Thursday party is getting closer to the weekend, closer to Halloween and the third to last party, so more people trying to squeeze in a last party. Especially locals, more with families may be willing to take a quick trip for a Thursday night and the weekend. With Tues, and early in the school week, I'd think less families, especially locals, would want to take off so early in the week. Anyway, just my thoughts on which day I'd probably pick. But, having to switch flights and pay more that way, that might be more of a pain than it's worth. Have a great party, which ever you pick!

It's six of one, half a dozen of the other. Tuesday vs. Thursday isn't noticeably different in terms of crowds since they're both weeknights. Only thing working against Thursday 10/29 is that it's just a few days closer to Halloween than 10/27 is. The difference will be negligible and very possible they will both be sell outs, so I wouldn't go through the cost/hassle of switching flights just for 10/27. Stick with your 10/29 plan and buy your tickets sooner rather than later!
