Given DVC Points by Boss!!!

My hubby started a new job and one of his new perks was that his boss has over 1000 DVC points and likes to give them to certain employees each year because he never has a chance to use them all- sweet huh??

So we are using over 500, which he was cool with, staying at the Poly, lagoon view for a 10 day stay during the value season in December (after the Pop Warner kids leave ) How many chances do u get for a free hotel stay?? VERY excited!!!

Have considered a one bedroom or even 2 bedroom at one of the DVC resorts like BWV or VWL? Wow, for 500 points you could stay 2 weeks or even for a week in an OKW 3 bedroom Grand Villa!!!!

Lucky you!!!!! This job may be a keeper! Hope he loves his job, because if he doesn't and later changes jobs again, you may the one crying!

We wanted to stay on the monorail for a change- we have always been at th All Stars or POR and it will be a nice change of pace to be so close to the MK

I understand DH's need/desire to be on the monorail after enduring All-Stars. But something to think about:Wilderness Lodge Villas are a short boat ride from MK and if I might add as deluxe accomodations are second to none IMO.

Is DH's boss a diser? I know there is a dvc diser who gives out points as "perks". I cannot remember who it is, though.

You might ask his boss.

Oh...and BTW...I too would opt for a 1 or 2 bedroom instead of the Poly. But, that's just me!!

Stay in a 1 bedroom DVC and you will put the Poly into the All Star/POR catagory!!

That is so cool! I'd be happy if my boss knew where Disney was, I could'nt imagine how I would feel if he owned and gave points away too!!!

That's a great perk...but I also agree you should consider a 2 bedroom villa...The DVC resorts are also spectactular..

Guys, villas are not always easy to come by in early December! Especially at the VWL. I say enjoy the Poly, we've always wanted to stay there but the points are way too high and I can't justify paying cash after investing in DVC. Have a great stay, and we are all just jealous!
