Give myself an extra day?

If I give myself 5 days instead of 4, is park hopping really necessary you think? I’m thinking I would just give myself an extra day at magic kingdom or something.

Park hopping right now is never really necessary unless here on a holiday. It's plenty to just use full days at the parks!

It all depends, if we go during an Epcot festival we enjoy being able to eat dinner “around the world” a few times over the course of a trip.

Yeah, it would be during whatever festival Is in April. I was thinking just one good sit down per park.

If the choice is an extra day or PH, I would choose the extra day. Both would be optimal of course, but if you have to choose only one, more Disney time is better!

I support the idea of one more day rather than park hopping. We’ve gone several times since reopening and we’ve had success doing one park per day when we used to be die hard park hoppers.

What would be your reccomendation for the extra time ? Magic Kingdom or HS?

Were y’all able to do most rides? Specifically HS and MK

I love having 5 days because you can take your time at each of the 4 parks and then on the 5th day re-visit your favorite or the one where you didn't do everything.

We have a reservation for HS for the 5th day in case we don't get a boarding pass. If we get a boarding pass the first day we have HS, we might switch our reservation to MK.
I was planning to do that, but scared that the park I change to might be full. I think HS and MK seem to get full.

Probably MK. There are way more rides than the other parks. Unless you prefer another park more. It’s all so dependent on preferences. You mentioned MK in your original post, so probably MK is a good choice.

I like doing extra park days, no loss of time going to and from parks. Depending on what you like is where you spend it. I have a 9 yo. She likes MK. So we do extra days there. It can give you the time to atually walk around and explore a bit. See stuff you dont normally see. But i can see HS also. Especially if you are a star wars fan. That place is prety cool.

We are able to get everything done that we want to do, which are mostly the headliners.
Just maximize the beginning/closing of park times and you should be able to do what you want to do. Also manage expectations with some lines looking super long but they actually move.
IMO you can’t go wrong with MK or HS. I feel like HS gets busier faster, since the park footprint is smaller than HS. Depending on your group, I would consider doing HS twice to attempt Rise of Resistance again.

I think it depends on how you like to vacation. My husband and I are late risers so we like the park hopper option so we can sleep in a bit hit the park that we wanted to focus on for the day and then hop over to a park that may be open later to do/see some attractions we may have missed on our 'day' there.
