Give me an AP & look what happens - 2 for 1 PTR!! NEW 3/11 p.63 TR Link

I was thinking the same thing as CP... my, how big the boys are getting!

Knew Dinosaur was going to be on the list! :lmao:

I am getting excited, aren't you?!

Kathy

It took a lot of work to go back through all of the old pictures but I'm glad I did! I'll have a flashback for each of the parks. :thumbsup2

And yes - I'm getting super duper excited!! :hyper:

Isn't it fun to watch your kiddos grow throughout the years by looking at photos? They are adorable Amy!! Great AK updates. Plans look great. :)

Thank you!! I hope to have the DHS update ready for next week. I have a special dance to do next Wedneday... :rolleyes1

My family loves AK as well. The boys really have grown up so much over the past few years! :goodvibes The pictures are fantastic!

Thanks Missy!! I love when I see everyone post their old pictures so I decided to go digging.

Quick life update... We've been really busy over the past week, especially this weekend. Here's what we've been up to...

This weekend was final weekend of soccer with a jamboree yesterday morning (brrr...) & today was all about yard work. It's supposed to rain for the next couple of days so we needed to get the leaves picked up! The boys even helped out this year. :thumbsup2

Here are a few pictures from Halloween:

I've also been working on the calendars I make for my Dmom and DMIL every year for Christmas. These are the pages I have completed, two of each:

So that's what's been keeping me so busy! Hope you are all enjoying fall before things get too crazy with the holidays! Be back soon with my DHS update!

Your calendar pages are gorgeous! :goodvibes

The boys look so cute in their costumes! I love that you stuck with a theme!

Catching up...congrats on getting your first choice resort! That is fantastic news, and such a relief. The pictures of the resort are beautiful!

Your AK plans sound wonderful - all the thrills and great entertainment. :goodvibes I loved seeing the boys grow up through the pictures! It's amazing how quickly they change.

Your calendar pages are beautiful! What a great gift idea. :thumbsup2 That gives me the idea to make digital calendars for the Grandma's for Christmas since we now live so far away.... The Halloween and skate board pics are great too! Are you one nervous Mommy seeing your little man on a skateboard? I'm sure I will be once Henry is old enough to do all those things!

Thanks Brook!! I am so excited to have the resort booked! We've never had a problem booking at 60 days, but it's still a little stressful waiting. It was nice that we didn't have to this time!!

Anything with pictures make a great gift for grandparents! They love that kind of stuff. I like being able to share pictures from throughout the year.

Zach makes me a bit nervous on the skateboard, but he hasn't gotten to brave yet...

I was going to wait until Wednesday (our double digits celebration day) to post this update but my week is filling up pretty quickly so I figured I'd get it up this weekend. :goodvibes

DHS is another park that we only have a handful of favorite attractions, but still a park that we love & have to visit more than once!
We have two scheduled visits here too:
• Wednesday 3/2 (full day)
• Friday 3/4 (pm – open until 7:00)

Favorites for DHS are:
Alex – RnRC & TSM
Tim – RnRC & TSM
Zach – RnRC, TSM & Animation Academy
Me – To stick with the trend… RnRC & TSM!

I’m surprised nobody mentioned Tower of Terror – that’s usually a must-do for at least some of us! I have some new things in mind for this trip as well. The boys have never seen the Indiana Jones stunt show so I want to see that. The other thing I’d really like to do is get the boys into the Jedi Training class. My plan is to go right there at rope drop & wait in line. It could be really tough for them but hopefully if we do it first thing, they’ll be OK with the wait. Last year the first show was about 45 minutes after the park opened. I will have to wait until closer to our trip to figure out what the maximum wait could be and make the call then. And if we decide to go for it, we won’t tell the boys until we get over there & know we can get in the show. So we’ll see… We usually don’t bring things like DSs to the parks with us, but if we find we’ll be waiting for more than 15 minute for Jedi Training (which it probably will be), I’m sure we’ll plan to bring along the DSs and a few other diversions.

Based on everyone’s favorite & the new things I want to experience with the family, these are our park goals:

• Toy Story Mania
tsm.jpg

• Jedi Training – if we can get there at rope drop & the wait isn’t too long

• Tower of Terror

• Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster

• Animation Class

• The Great Movie Ride

• Indiana Jones (30 minute show)

• Find the kermit hat for Zach (saw it at the Backlot Tour dump shop in Sept.)
• Find the “angry eyes” shirt for Tim – cart near TSM

Maybes:
• Muppet Vision 3-D

• Fantasmic!
F2.jpg

No:
• Star Tours… closed for rehab - can't wait to see it when it's done but we'll have to skip for this year! :sad1:

I’ll write a touring plan for 3/2, our full day, and we’ll play it by ear on 3/4 based on what we want to revisit or missed the first day. We have a lunch ADR at Sci Fi (a first for us) on 3/2:

And a dinner ADR on 3/4 at Mama Melrose’s (which will also be a first if we keep it – it’s on the maybe list right now.)

Do you think they'd have a greater chance of being chosen if they wore their Star Wars costumes??

Kathy

Great Halloween pictures! I love your trick-or-treat table set-up too! :)

I hope the boys get picked for Jedi training! I've never seen it, but from hearing about it I know they would enjoy it.

If you do end you eating at Mama Melrose, I would avoid the Oven Baked Chicken alla Parmigiana. It wasn't that great. My family all enjoyed the flatbreads there though!

Breaking news on Jedi Training Academy:

Disney News & Views - Jedi Training Academy Changes How You Wait.

You no longer have to rush over to Jedi Training Academy in Hollywood Studios at rope drop and wait in line until it’s time for your show. Instead, little Padawans can sign up and then go enjoy the park. Kids will be given a return time for later in the day. Space is still first-come, first served, but this means a lot less waiting and a lot more enjoying the park.

The change first took place during Jersey Week, one of the busier weeks this time of year, so it may just be temporary. We know that Disney has been doing this when it gets more crowded, but for now, proceed with the assumption that this is how it will be from now on with the possibility of reverting back to waiting in line.

Hope this helps you!

Kathy

Your plans look great! You definitely mentioned our favorites too. :) I hope they are able to experience the Jedi Training Academy. I only have one Star Wars fan so couldn't subject the girls to it on our last trip. lol!!

Sci Fi was yummy for us. I had a really great burger and a delicious shake! Yum!

Love the old photos!

Great pictures from your previous trips to DHS. I love the ones of the boys on the starspeeder and with Bo! I really hope your boys get to do the Jedi Training Academy! That would be so awesome!

Wow - where did you find that Kathy??

We never even considered doing it when kids were chosen from the audience because there was too much unknown involved. When we were there both times in 2010, they had kids line up. The first 15 were in the show. I figured we'd head right there at RD and hope for the best. If we were 16 or later, we'd just skip it rather than waiting for an even later show. I read that if you got in line at 9:00, you'd wait for a bit then someone would come out and give out numbered cards. Then at least one person from the party had to stay in line, but the others could get out of line and hang out nearby.

But his new idea is wonderful!! I think we'll still head right there at RD and try to get into the earliest show we can!!! I hope they keep this new system!!! Thanks Kathy - you made my day!!

And I'm not sure if they'll want to wear comstumes or not... I'll have to make sure they at least have their Star Wars t-shirts for the day. :thumbsup2

Edited: I think I found it but can't seem to post the link! It's on a website called Chip & Company.

We just put out a bowl of candy when we head out trick-or-treating. ;) We don't get too many trick-or-treaters on our street, but enough to leave something out for them.

I think the boys would love Jedi training!

Thanks for the tip on Mama Melrose's! :thumbsup2 Sorry to hear your meal wasn't great... I've heard mixed reviews... that's why it's on the maybe list.

Thanks Jackie!! That was actually the first time they posed on the starspeeder!

Great DHS photos!
I love the new Jedi Training Academy procedures. I hope your boys get to participate :wizard:
